Sketchy Saturday with Pebbles and Technique Tuesday

Hi everyone, glad you stopped by for another Sketchy Saturday.  I wasn't sure I'd get anything posted today.  I am on summer holidays so you would think I have more time to craft but that doesn't seem to be happening!

Anyways, I snuck in a quick card for today.
I used some Pebbles paper and it fit well with the fun Funny Fruits Stamp set by Technique Tuesday, I will have fun with this one.  Love the orange and banana too!

I stamped, paper pieced and mounted the pineapple on foam squares over top of some stickers that came in the collection.  I then added the chipboard sunglasses... they fit perfectly don't you think?

Check out the fun stamp set:

I paired up the Coffee Helps Stamp set with the A Case of the Blah's collection by Pinkfresh Studio.

I love all of the images in the stamp set.  For this first card I stamped on cardstock then I mounted the stamped image on foam squares for dimension.

Next up, the image was stamped on pattern paper, although I did add a touch of white cardstock for the inside of the mug.  It too was mounted on foam squares.

Now if you haven't checked out the FSJ blog or CLC blog, be sure to do so and good luck!

I stamped some fun sentiments from the Summer Adventures stamp set by Technique Tuesday, which I can see myself using a lot it is a great stamp set!

To carry out the theme, I die cut a sand dollar and shell using the shells2stamp dies from The Stamps of Life and mounted them on foam squares.

Ice Cream happiness

I made this the other day on National Ice Cream day... but never got it posted.  Can you tell what my favorite flavor is?

I used the Love & Ice Cream stamp set and die from Reverse Confetti. The paper is from Pebbles.

A super simple card. I cut the cone out of some of the packaging that came in one of my RC orders.  I mounted the cone and part of the sentiment on foam squares.  I then had to add some 'chips' so I used some brown sequins.

Mindful Monday - Summer

Finally another Mindful Monday post for  you.

Welcome to another Mindful Monday.  What is Mindful Monday?  well... it is explained here, but in a nutshell, documenting simple things that just make us happy.  I think it is important to take the time to be mindful and just appreciate what we have, and the simple and amazing things that surround us in our daily lives.

This week's prompt is...summer

What does that mean to you? camping? relaxing? ice cream? lazy days?...

For me... being a teacher... holidays is obvious but my most favorite thing about summer is having the time to regroup by purging, cleaning and organizing my house room by room.  I love doing this and with the day to day stuff during the rest of the year... I really don't have the time.

I am a homebody by nature so puttering at home just makes me happy.

Now having lots of time on my hands to get down and purge, clean and organize.  Feels so good when it is done.  Of course, I love the camping and lots of free time... but nothing beats a good purge ;)

Then I can actually sit back and enjoy my beautiful home.

Products used:
Papers and elements: Elle's Studio
Die: Reverse Confetti
Stamp: Felicity Jane

I would love to see what about summer makes you happy:

Sketchy Saturday with Unity

Time for another sketch.  Can you tell that I like simple sketches :)

I decided to ink up some of my new Unity stamps and create some cards tat would work well for both guys and gals.  First up here is the one for the sketch.  I used the Wish You Were Beer along with the Eye of the BEER Holder stamp sets.

I kept pretty much to the sketch.  Colored with copics, added a clear gem from Studio Katia and mounted on foam squares.

While I had the colors out I decided to create another beer themed card using another uninked stamp set - Keep Calm, Have a Beer this too was cut out and mounted on foam squares.
