Inspired By... Fall Foliage

The new Inspired By challenge is up. I am in full blown fall project mode now ;)

I used some Pebbles papers for my project... I pulled out the colours and the fall theme. I'm a sucker for anything plaid/check/gingham so I love this background paper!

I just layered bits of the paper, added my usual stitching and then used a MFT die to cut out the mug. I then embellished it with a button from A Flair for Buttons.

Here is the inspiration picture:
Fun one? Come play!

Couple of Fall themed cards on the A Flair For Buttons Blog

I am up on the A Flair for Buttons blog today sharing a couple of fall themed cards.

Both cards are simple - I'm kind of digging that lately.

First up, I used an embossing folder from SU! to create the background then topped it with a die from MFT. I then finally inked this stamp set from CTMH that I purchased last year. I popped the sentiment up on foam squares for dimension. The buttons are, of course, from A Flair For Buttons (Hashtag Flair)

Next up, I used a sentiment from Impression Obsession to create a subtle background. For both cards, I have used an old oak leaf punch.

Inspired By... time to bake

The new Inspired By Challenge is up again. This one really makes my heart happy - I love baking and country vintage...

I was inspired by the theme and finally inked up a fun stamp set (Handmade for You) from The Cats Pajamas that I won awhile ago. I paired it up with some older papers from My Mind's Eye. I wanted to get a head start on Christmas as I do like to give away little homemade goodie gift packages.

I also used a tag die from Reverse Confetti. I just cut out 4 tags then went to work with paper scraps to create them. I have added the little rolling pin from the Kitchen Love stamp and die

Here is the inspiration photo.... how does it inspire you? Head on over to see what the design team have created and of course, play along!

Find Your Tribe.... Jillibean Soup Guest Designer

Today I am sharing the second layout that I had up on the Jillibean Soup Blog using the Bohemian Brew collection.

When I saw the paper - especially those VW vans.... I knew I had to scrap these photos of  my daughter and her friends out surfing. I thought the papers worked well for the theme.

I used my Silhouette to cut out a sun then used it for journaling. Other than that... just fun layering of the papers and elements.

More details on the Jillibean Soup Blog.

Jillibean Soup Guest Designer!

So excited to be the Guest Designer on the Jillibean Soup Blog the other day!

This is the first of the projects that I will be sharing. I was given the Bohemian Brew collection to play with and I created a couple of layouts and a few cards.

I couldn't wait to scrap this photo of my grand daughter. She LOVES the zipline where we take her camping and I was happy to have caught this moment of joy. For this layout, which was my last project that I created. I used some of the scraps to create layers. I then used the Letters in the collection and mounted them on foam squares.

She is a little daredevil who wants to do things herself. She watches the 'big kids' then tries to do what they do.

Luckily, at least she does have her limits.

Inspired By... Fall Picnic and a prize

The new Inspired By challenge is up and it really has me thinking of fall. This week there is a prize up for grabs from Reverse Confetti so be sure to play along!

The design team were given some of the newest stamps to play with (available on September 8th!).  For my card I combined the new Cotton & Thistles with the Worm Wishes stamp set. It actually works out well as I have a colleague that is going through a hard time right now so I thought of her when I was creating this. Although she lives in the same town as me, I am going to pop this in the mail.

The background die is the Squared Off Cover Panel from Reverse Confetti. I thought it brought out the basket feel from the photo. I then pulled the colours from the scarf for the flowers and the white jar is for the white mugs in the photo. Of course I pulled in the mustard yellow of the sweater in the pencil and finally... the apples. I have a thing for apples this week, don't I?! The bits of pattern paper, were tucked in under the jar much like the scarf is in the photo. The pattern paper is the Every Little Bit, also from Reverse Confetti.  Finally, the little tag is cut from some of the packaging I received with my Reverse Confetti goodies.

Now here is the photo... can't wait to see what you do!

Now be sure to head on over to Inspired By and play along - there is a Reverse Confetti gift certificate up for grabs!

Apples for Sale

I am up on the A Flair for Buttons blog today with another apple project. I loved using the Honey Bee stuff the other day (here) so I created something else before I put them away.

This time the background die is from Reverse Confetti.

After coloring the apples, I spritzed with some watered down ink.  I used the Birch Tree die from MFT for a backgound to carry out the theme as well. Isn't that flair cute?

Grateful Heart

Now that September is here, I am so ready for fall and fall projects :)

Today I have finally used my Honey Bee Bushel and Peck stamp and die set. I am always a sucker for any apple, lemon, cherry so I had to have this one!

The die cut panel is from MFT. I cut and layered the basket from some SU! woodgrain paper.

Believe it or not, I actually cut the apples from cardstock first but decided I needed to stamp and color them! I am not usually one to color. As a final touch I used a sentiment from  the Grateful Heart stamp set by Right at Home
