Inspired By...time to write

The new Inspired By challenge is up and I was inspired to create a layout.

I used the Feels Like Home Collection as I went with the vintage feel of the photo. I was also inspired by the clipped notes so I clipped the elements on my page.

I love this photo of my dad (the youngest in the photo) and my uncle on their childhood farm. I scanned the photo so as not to destroy the original. So happy to have it scrapped.

There is a lot of pink in the collection but I wanted to stick with blues and grays so I cut apart some of the Picture My Life cards to make them go farther.

I then added some fussy cut images, items from the Complements and some die cut Rectangle Frames. As a final touch I had to add the stamped sentiment from the Quotable Words stamp set.

And here is that cute picture again :)

Here is the inspiration photo... come on over and play!

Thin Cuts Blog Hop

Welcome to the CTMH Thin Cuts blog hop. You should have arrived from Brenda's blog. If not you might want to start at the beginning at Catherine's blog in order to see all the amazing things done with our Thin Cuts.

I have a few cards for you today. I am starting with a simple one. I thought the flower paper looked like it could be framed so I used the Stitched Square frame to cut out the square along with the coral frame.

I then used the Stitched Heart die and a retired sentiment die for some interest. The stamped sentiment is from this month's special Love Blossoms

Next up, sometimes I like a clean and simple card but still want some interest. I love using our Stitched frames in tone on tone to create the interest.  I just layered various frames then added a stamped image using the A Balanced Diet stamp set

Finally, sometimes I just have fun with my dies. Here I have used the Stitched Heart die to create a 'lucky' card. Once again, I added in some Stitched square frames. The stamped sentiment is from the Love Blossoms set and then I added some die cut letters using the Block Alphabet dies

Next up on the hop is: Darlys

CLC - Caffeinated Inspiration

I am up on the CLC blog with another inspiration challenge for you. And... I have another donut card :)

The papers are retired CTMH papers and I have paired them up with stamps from Honey Bee and Unity (see the CLC blog for more information)

Sketchy Saturday with Feels Like Home

Hi everyone, do you have snow still? We just got some this past week and it has actually been beautiful... though I am quite ready for spring.

I created another sympathy card - one more and my set will be complete and I can give to my mom. I paired the Feels Like Home collection with the new Love Blossoms Stamp Set Special (available until March 31st)

I stamped the image and colored in with copics... you know me and coloring - I much prefer paper piecing :) I mounted the image on foam circles for some dimension.

Now I would love to see your take on the sketch. Here it is again for you:

Inspired By... cacti

The new Inspired By challenge is up and I'm sure it will stick with you ;)

I have been struggling with time and mojo this week so I went with something quick and easy and I am sure you will be able to tell how I was inspired :)

I used the Silhouette to cut out the cactus and then stapled on a heart and mounted on foam squares.

I thought this sentiment from Technique Tuesday was perfect.

Now head on over there and play! :)

You're Fabulous - Girl Boss

It's been a busy and not so busy time around here. Lots of little things to do and believe it or not... I tried to craft but no mojo! Thankfully, that only lasted a day or so ;)

Today I am mixing up some old and new papers from CTMH along with this fun stamp from Picket Fence Studios. I've had her for awhile, but finally inked her up.

I thought she paired nicely with the muted tones of the papers and then I used the stitched frames to cut frames from the black glitter paper

Sketchy Saturday - Celebrate it's your birthday

It's time for another Sketchy Saturday sketch and like always, I have kept it simple so that it is open to interpretation (like that band could be a clear center....)

Anyways, I used the Something Fierce collection once again to create yet another birthday card.

Pretty simple really (not even any stitching). Simple layering of the pattern paper and Complements. I mounted the dinosaur on foam circles for some dimension.

I then added a die cut and stamped sentiment. Easy peesy.

Now check out the fun card from last week's sketch, don't you love the shaker boxes?

Now I would love to see your take on this week's sketch:
