Scrappy Sunday

I have another layout to share today and once again, using the Open Book collection by Crate Paper.
I will be sad when this is all used up.

I snagged my daughter's photo of her and my grand daughter from Facebook one day.  It is such a great photo of them.

I always have to fussy cut the gorgeous flowers in the Crate collections.  Makes the paper go that much further and it is fun ;)  The background stamping was done with a retired SU! set and a stamp from the Epic Moments by Unity.

I used some of the ephemera in the collection to create the title, the 'you' I cut on my Silhouette.  I then had to add more detail of course with staples and then some stamping with the Time to be Happy Again by Unity.

I also used the Hashtag kit by Unity to stamp a sentiment on the frame that I cut using my Silhouette.

My favorite projects always seem to be the ones that combine many elements (papers, cut files, stamps etc) - helps justify the purchases LOL.  I love how Unity always has just the perfect stamp to accent any theme.

I am playing along with the Scraplift Sunday Challenge at Paper Issues.  Here is the layout I was inspired by:

Time to Drink Champagne

I was lucky to win the Fashionista collection by Echo Park so I was happy to play with it.  I paired it up with the Robyn Girl and Sassy Pants stamp sets by Unity.

I had fun paper piecing her and then I fussy cut the purse and glasses from the pattern paper and added them to complete her look ;)  The main image is mounted on foam squares for some dimension.  I love how the background paper looks to be the city in behind her.

As a final touch I added some gold bling to her purse.

I would love to see how it inspires you.

Inspired By... curl up with a pillow challenge

How are you inspired?

colors, patterns, color blocking, pillows, squares....

I am so happy to have another amazing guest here and I'm sure you have seen her out in blog land as she is one of the busiest card makers I know!  Amy Tsuruta!  Not sure how she does it all but I am happy to have her with us today.  Here is her amazing creation and of course click on the card to be taken to her blog, I'm sure she would appreciate the love!

I love how her background mimics the pattern of the pillow :)  Thank you Amy!

Now for my card.  I pulled out the colors and used the Gather collection by Crate Paper.

The die cut panel is the Tall Stripe Panel from Reverse Confetti.  Now if you know me at all, you know I love to fussy cut images from pattern paper.  I tried to for this card, but the flowers were too big so I decided to finally ink up my Vintage Rose stamp set from Altenew.  I LOVE these flowers!  Gosh so realistic looking.  Will be using them more for sure.  One of the flowers is mounted on foam squares.  I finished it off with a die cut sentiment from Stamplorations.

Can't wait to see what you do!  Link up below.

Silly Old Bird....

Here is the second layout that I created on my 'scrappy Sunday'.  It felt good to get 2 layouts done :)

I used the Bloom Collection by Crate Paper as I thought the images... you will see why when you read the journaling ;)  Where do kids come up with these things?!  I cut the title with my Silhouette.

This is a special layout because, well, it totally serves the purpose of what scrapbooking is to me.  Documenting special moments.  This is my grand daughter and my mom.  They have such a special bond and I know photos like this will be treasured by my grand daughter in the future.

Now as for that 'silly old bird'.... we have no idea where that came from?!  Definitely still giggling about that one!  (she says many funny things... I refer to them as her Kaiahisms... more layouts to come I'm sure ;)

I used the sketch from Creative Scrappers

Love is in the air....

Hi everyone, I am up on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog with another Inspiration Challenge - I would love for you to play along!

I was thinking Valentine's day when I chose the inspiration photo (go check it out, it is a pretty photo).

I used some retired CTMH papers as the colors worked well for the inspiration.  I then paired the Coffee Cup Fri-Dies from CAS-ual Friday stamps with a sentiment from Jaded Blossom (scroll down to see stamp set) Kiss Me a Latte.

I am playing along with:

Jaded Blossom:  Hearts

I like you.... and chocolate

I just received some new goodies today and had to play.  I had fun (relative word.... shaker cards take me way too long ;)  ) creating this one.  I used the Pebbles Forever My Always collection.

I had to try out the Heart Confetti Collage die from Poppy Stamps.  I used it to create a panel then made a shaker box out of it using some of the die cuts as confetti.   I then used the Lovey Word Coordinates by Reverse Confetti and cut it apart. I then finished off the card with a couple of SRM Stickers.
