Staying motivated... title page of fitness journal

I have my first post as a DT member for A Flair for Buttons up today (although, not the first time using AFFB ;) )

I shared the cover of my fitness journal here. Today I am sharing the inside page.  Stay tuned on some future posts as to how I am organizing the journal.

For this page I have used the Dream Big collection by Fancy Pants - only I'm dreaming small ;) along with the Hopes & Dreams stamp set by Technique TuesdayLosing weight is not an overnight thing so it can be hard to keep on track.  I have lost 30 pounds, and still working on 20 more.  I need to remind myself to keep focusing and thinking about where I want to be.

I like this sentimet: It won't be easy but it will be worth it....yep so true!

I must stay focused....

I added a little button from AFFB for some interest.

Sketchy Saturday

Happy Saturday or should I say Sketchy Saturday. I have used the Farmhouse Stew collection by Jillibean Soup.  Anything farm/country related... I'm a sucker for.  I think in my former life I was a farm girl ;)

I die cut the chair using a Poppy Stamps die and then wanted the cup of tea to look like it was with a napkin or cloth, so I just cut a scrap piece of paper and adhered it on.  The chair and jar (which was fussy cut from pattern paper) are mounted on foam squares.

Sigh... I wish I had a porch.

I swayed a bit from my sketch, but I always use sketches as a starting point and sometimes, like today, it is a bit swayed.  The sketch has 2 rectangles in the center.  I have 2 main images in the center, but one is a square and smaller.  The sentiment in this case is a jar.  But trust me, I did start with the sketch :)

Here is the sketch:

Creating a fitness journal by altering a notebook

I am up on the Unity Blog with my Friday Favorites.  Be sure to head on over for more detail on how I created this altered notebook.

I have lost 30 pounds this last year but wanted a little more motivation for the last 20 so I am holding myself accountable by getting it on paper... and showing you ;)

The main image was paper pieced and mounted on foam squares for dimension.

I also added some SRM Stickers and a button from A Flair For Buttons to complete the theme.

I have a lot more detail on the Unity Blog

Inspired By.... H is for Hoppy - Fwee

Another Inspired By challenge is up and it is such a pretty one.  I was inspired by the 'springiness' and the colors.  I also pulled the 'H' but instead went with a 3 (or fwee as my grand daughter says ;) )

I used the About a Little Girl collection by PhotoPlay Paper. It was perfect for documenting this photo of my grand daughter on her third birthday.  I can't believe she is 3 already!

I added some SRM Stickers to the photo... I love the look of the white lettering on the black and white photo.  The giraffe is actually a sticker, but I adhered him to cardstock, cut him out and then mounted him on foam squares.  I used him instead of a bunny.

The strips of paper in the collection worked well for the theme of the page.  I cut the 3 and the fwee with my Silhouette.  I stitched around the 3 for interest, then mounted it on foam squares.

Here is the Inspired By photo, I hope you come on over (click photo) and see what the design team has created... and of course play along.

Spring.... it is in the air isn't it?

I'm so ready for some spring weather.  We had a taste of it the other day... fingers crossed we see more sun soon.

I just received the Spring Market collection by Carta Bella and had to play right away.

I layered different pieces of the pattern paper and then created tags out of the top layer using a SU! punch.  The spring sentiment is an Echo Park die.  Other than that... just layered stickers.  Easy Peesy.

What about you.... how ready for spring are you?!

Feeling so lucky....

I am up on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's Blog today with another inspiration challenge.  Be sure to hop on over to see my inspiration photo and of course... play along :)  I used Bowl of Dreams by  Jillibean Soup along with a few different Unity Stamps.

First I used the {aBOUT} the month stamp set to create a March calendar.  I then punched the edge with a notebook punch.  I then added the coffee stain from the You Can Do Anything SMAK kit.

I stamped and paper pieced the cup then mounted it on foam squares for some dimension.

Now be sure to play along over at the CLC Blog.

Make a Wish

I am playing along with a couple of challenges today.  I used the Penelope collection by My Mind's Eye - it had me at pink ;)

I decided to create a shaker card and used the Star Shaker from MFT which made it very easy.  I then just added some gold stars from the collection.
