hi

This is the Bonus Sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You this week. I don't know what it is about circles and ovals lately but there have been a lot of them lately. I am not a circle/oval person/ scallop, I much prefer the straight, clean lines of squares and rectangles! That is why it is called a challenge I guess! I took in 3 challenges with this card. The sketch challenge, the 365 Card Challenge and the Use Challenge, yay me!

Patten Paper: Scenic Route
Cardstock: Close to My Heart
Ribbon: Walmart
RicRac: Close to My Heart
gems: Close to My Heart
Cricut: Plantin Schoolbook; Indie Art

A toot!

I was nominated as one of the Top 5 at Card Patterns for this card, woo-hoo!

Just Sitting Here

Taylor's sketch this week: Here is my card (yes I got rid of that stray piece of fiber!). Another Tilda I am in love with! If my old pics were digital, I would post a pic of Danica so you could see why I love these Tilda's so much! The Tilda is mounted with foam squares.

I have been scrapping too!

For all of my followers that are scrappers, I have been scrapping a bit lately too. I do a yearly album for each of my daughters. I am working on Danica's 2008 album. Of course some of the pages end up being almost exactly like I did in Jaimee's so I figure no point in posting them again. I will one day move on to something new and will post here!

Thank You

Happy Birthday

This weeks sketch from Card Patterns. I used my Amy Butler paper again, I love it!

The papers were still out so I thought I would try a mini card. This one is 4 X 4 and I used my sizzix die for the ice cream cone which I cut out of chipboard coasters as well - my own chipboard element! MME Beautiful You

The sketch for this week from 2 Sketches 4 You For my card I actually mixed different paper packs (same company though) and a die cut from a different company... I'm starting to go out of my box! LOL! I usually stay within one paper pack but I am challenging myself to try new things!

Tenth Birthday

I have pretty much used up all the paper from my My Mind's Eye paper pack, the colors just worked perfectly with these pics. I cut out the flowers from one of the pattern papers and some are mounted with foam squares. I used a sketch from the Page Maps book, which I tweaked somewhat and it is still not my favorite, but it worked for all the pics. Now that I see it, what a waste of DP down the center!LOL!
Pattern Paper: My Mind's Eye
Cardstock: Goldrush, Hollyhock (CTMH)
Stamps: Solo 1, Solo ', Happy Birthday (CTMH)
Die Cut: My Mind's Eya

SWAK

Another card with the Caardvarks Sketch. Now I have never bought stickers, yes I was a 'sticker snob' I thought why buy them when you can use stamps and make your own. Well lately stickers have been included with some paper packs that I have purchased lately and... well... I am no longer a sticker snob! I love them! This card went together quickly and easily - the longest was adhering the gems. Paper: Basic Grey
Stickers: Basic Grey
Rhinestones: CTMH
stamp: CTMH
fiber: CTMH
Shimmerz (on the lips - looks like lip gloss!)
Red Hot Card Scents - this card smells so yummy!

Party Planner

Danica is a little party planner. She spends a lot of time planning, list making, searching for games, scoping out decorations, etc. She just loves to do this, therefore her birthday parties are mostly her doing (I just fork out the $$!). I love it! This page is not my normal type of page, I don't like symmetrical or 'perfect type' layouts, if you KWIM. I much prefer more random, haphazard looking pages. However, this layout from Inspired Blueprints did work for these pics. Of course another chance to use my new My Mind's Eye papers, I almost need more already! I cut out the flowers from one of the pattern papers and some are mounted on foam squares. Danica loves glitter so I had to glitter my letters. Finally, another thing Danica likes are stationary supplies (staples, clips, organizers, etc.) so I had to add a couple of staples to the page too! Pattern Papers: My Mind's Eye; CTMH
Cardstock: CTMH
Stamp: CTMH
Ink: CTMH
Ribbon and Buttons: CTMH

Hello birdie

Laura did another sketch, love her sketches! Here is what I came up with. Went together easily as there is not much to this one. A bit of sewing, a bit of paper piecing and a bit of coloring.

Back 2 School

I not sure about this blogging thing, I end up buying things and making cards that I would have never made before! I have never made a Back to School card before, but when I saw this Tilda I just had to have her, she reminds me so much of Danica when she was little! So now I have made a card with her, I'll have to tuck the card in Danica's lunch on her first day of school - although she will be in middle school next year (yikes!) and may not want notes from mom! Stamps: Magnolia; Close to My Heart
Pattern Paper: DCWV
Cardstock: CTMH
Markers: copics

Mini Letter stickers: Making Memories
Cricut: Graphically Speaking; Plantain Schoolbook

Happy Birthday 2U Bella

This is this weeks Bellariffic Challenge. To make something with Bellas using this picture as inspiration. Here is what I came up with. I used My Mind's Eye paper again, I am loving that pack! It is also for Rae's Use it Challenge. And of course I used Lauren's sketch again. Oh and by the way after seeing the pic I have since colored over the flower stem with green, it was too white for my liking.
