Best Friends

This is last weeks sketch from Creative Scrappers: For my layout I also incorporated the Scrapping Out Loud's Challenge - to use lots of embellishments. It is not exactly what I wanted to do, but I have a scarpping tool that is not making me very happy, I won't go into detail until the company contacts me. Just suffice to say I am very frustrated with it! That said, I do like the layout and so will Danica.
ETA Just for the record, the flower on the girls face is not attached! It is only for privacy. Pattern Paper: MAMBI

This Way

I found another sketch site, and this is the sketch for this week from Got Sketch: One day on one of our trips to an out of town track meet, Danica kept herself amused by playing with her new camera. Although it is not a flattering picture of me, I think the pics are kind of funny - she even took the one of herself!

Thinking of you

The Moxie Fab Citrus Color Inspiration Challenge: For my card I also incorporated the 365 Card Challenge, to use only 2 colors. Although I am happy with the end product, this is a half hour card that I think took 2 hours! My Slice was not cooperating with me and I was so frustrated! I got hubby to try it out, he then put a new blade in it (it is new, I didn't think of that! LOL), and Voila! Of course now he thinks he is king crafter... I better keep him away from the Cricut! LOL

Back to Work

So I attempted going to work today as I feel like I am finally on the mend (the antibiotics have kicked in). I had a retired male high school teacher in for me on Monday (I teach K/1)! I chuckled when he left a note saying, "I am exhausted, how do you do this every day?"!

A Light in the Heart

My Third Post for today! Now I am probably off to bed, hoping to be able to work tomorrow.

Purple Triple Play!

I have managed to make another card, in between sleeping and visitng the Dr. (I do have a sinus infection), I don't have a lot of mojo today so struggling a bit. To really challenge me is the colors, I use purple even less than primary colors so this was hard for me!

The sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You

Jeanette's color challenge, although I don't have any Pansy Purple, so I substituted Smoky Plum

Finally my card, which is for the 365 Card Challenge for today - to use purple and 5 circles - I used 6.

All supplies are from Close to My Heart except the ribbon, sizzix and punches.

Baby

I have a pounding headache (for at least a week now) and can barely hear anything. I took today off to go to the doctor, I think it is another sinus infection. I am very tired but plan on playing a bit in my craft room in between naps!

The Card Patterns sketch for this week: Lauren's Color Challenge:
My Card, which also incorporated the OCC challenge to incorporate a sentiment as a focal point on a card. Finally this is also for the C.R.A.F.T Challenge which is create something to do with 'new' - for mine it is a new baby. Four challenges in one card, nice! I used some new goodies on this card. I just got the new MME paper pack and the Childhood stamp set (CTMH) and they just seemed to be what I needed. I knew I wanted to use the MME paper and played around until I had something I liked! I punched out the sentiment circle and adhered it to a chipboard circle (I cut it out of a coaster with my sizzix) to make my own chipboard element!

Pattern Paper: MME; CTMH
Cardstock: CTMH
Stamps: CTMH (Intrinsic Backgrounds; Childhood)

A Wish for You

I started out with a sketch from the NEW Close to My Heart Wishes book and then it grew from there. I have said many times I don't like primary colors, especially together but I LOVE this October Afternoon paper! I just got it yesterday and couldn't wait to use it! I don't know if this counts but I incorporated the 365 Card Challenge today - to decorate 3 sides of the card - I stitched around 4 sides - does that count??? Pattern Paper: October Afternoon

I have to say if you are a card maker you have to get the NEW Close to My Heart book: "Wishes"!!! I just got mine today and it is fantastic, so many sketches, templates and ideas! It is definately a must have! You can find out more about it here.

For my card, I dug out some My Mind's Eye Paper again so that I could incorporate the 365 Card Challenge from yesterday - "You're so Plaid"

Sweet pinks

The Inspirational Card Sketch this week: For my card I incorporated the 365 Card Challenge from yesterday - to make a card using a favorite manufacturer on the majority of the card. Of course I had to use Close to My Heart! All supplies are from Close to My Heart except the Satin ribbon and the Shimmerz. I stamped the pink and white background papers. I stamped the flowers and then hand cut them out. They are painted with Shimmerz and one flower is mounted with foam squares.

Red Hot Love You

The sketch this week from 2 Sketches 4 You I went out of my box again and made a card with bright colors, not only that it is so not me! I finally broke into my MM Slice that I won a couple of months ago and wanted to try it out. It came with a basic cartridge and I used it to make the word 'love'. I had a couple of dumb moments with it, but once I figured it out, I love it! Now off to buy some more cartridges!

The lips are hand cut out of pattern paper, painted with Shimmerz so they sparkle and mounted on foam squares. I also scented the card with Red Hot Card Scents, yummy!

Pattern Paper: American Crafts
Cardstock: CTMH
Cutting Machine: Slice
letter sticker: Making Memories

You have to imagine

The sketch from 365 Super Sketchy Sunday: I used Dawn's Color Challenge as inspiration, although my (very old) paper had a bit of green in it too. All supples are from Close to My Heart except the large eyelet (SU!), punch (Martha Stewart) and the buttons (PTI).

What you have to imagine is that this tag will be tied to a Starbuck's Travel Mug filled with some chocolates. You can see the Starbucks gift card tucked into the tag.

So not my favorite!!!

The layout from Creative Scrappers this week

All supplies are from CTMH except the buttons. I used Cricut cartridges: Plantin Schoolbook; Graphically Speaking.
