Harvest Party

I played along with a few challenges.  The first is the sketch challenge from Sweet Sunday:

At the Shabby Tea Room, you are to make a project with your birthstone, mine is Topaz.

Then there is this inspiration from Cupcake Inspirations:

I also played with the Pink Elephant challenge - paper piecing and the Kraft Journal challenge - celebrations (this is for a hostess gift for our Thanksgiving dinner).  Our BIL and SIL always hosts Thanksgiving dinner for hubby's side of the family so I thought I would bring this.  Now you have to use your imagination that this is filled with goodies (think pumpkin fudge, sugar cookies, caramel popcorn... haven't decided yet - if you have any good recipes or ideas I am open !).  I made the tag with my Bella Blvd One Fall Day scraps, yes that is pretty much all I have left of that paper!  I also upcycled a tin I got at a garage sale for 10 cents!  I sprayed it brown and then just rubbed some Burnt Orange acrylic paint so the leaves and such show up better.  The stamp is from Papertrey Ink, love the Friendship jar and its fillers.  Lots of fun fussy cutting and paper piecing on this.  A bit of burlap and a PTI button finish it off.

Take a Break

I played along with a couple of challenges, the first is this sketch from Clean & Simple

And this week's Tuesday Trigger:

I just got my Echo Park Happy Days paper and just had to use it.  I have also inked a Unity stamp that I just received too.  The twine is from The Twinery.

Another Seattle page and final reminder for giveaway

I played around again with the My Memories Digital Suite Scrapbooking Software  and made another CAS page for the gift album I am going to make for hubby.  I love how good all the photos look when bunched together on a page like this, makes me look like a professional photographer!  The page went together in minutes, gotta love that!

Now today is the last day to enter my giveaway to win your own version of the software.  To enter see the details here.

2 Peas woot!

How fun, my Back to School card that I posted yesterday is Top 3 by Views at 2Peas in the Card Making and Stamping Galleries!

Upcycled Purse

I decided to play with one of my garage sale finds.  I used the 'purse' from below.  I picked it up for a couple of bucks at a garage sale along with the books. They are all wooden and hollow inside, little boxes of sorts.

First I spray painted the inside and outside of the purse black.  I then covered the sides with some Cosmo Cricket Upcycle paper.  I made the flower with my Walk in My Garden Cricut cartridge.  This only took minutes really, as the spray paint had a quick dry time.  I thought it would be cute to hold a gift card and some candies for some of my girls friends on their birthdays.  What do you think?  other suggestions for it?  I love how it turned out.  I also sprayed the flowers with Glimmermist before assembling for a bit of sparkle.

OA Back to School

Time for another Wee Memories challenge and how fitting it is!

I used this card sketch from October Afternoon:

And I am happy because I have used some older October Afternoon scraps on this card along with some CTMH canvas embellishments and some PTI stamps.  Of course some twine from The Twinery.  This is also for the Frosted Designs challenge - notebook paper - I snuck a bit in ;) and the Paper Cutz challenge - stars

Oh and I was so excited to see this card featured on the Create blog, thanks Paige!

A Great Start...

Jason took the girls and a friend each camping for the weekend.  The dog is gone too (won't miss that barking) just the cat and I.  I love this nice quiet weekend that I get every year!

To really start this weekend off on a fabulous note, I got 5 things picked up for publication today!  All for Cricut magazine/ Cricut Idea Book - Families!!! I am so over the moon! One card and 4 layouts!  One of my goals this year was to try and get more layouts published, I am so happy that it is working out!  Love my Cricut!

It is time for another Friends with Flair and I once again have combined it with this weeks sketch from Let's Capture These Sketches:

Class Act

There is a new sketch over at the My Favorite Things Blog:
I decided to play along with the Papercraft Star challenge:

Once again, I used my Geek is Chic papers and elements from Imaginisce.  Some Twinery twine and the You Rule stamp set from My Favorite Things.

Upcycle Hello

There was a sketch challenge up at Cosmo Cricket again and the winner will be published in CARDs magazine.
I used my Upcycle papers to create a card for a girlfriend... kind of like a time for some Girl Talk kind of card.  All supplies are from Cosmo Cricket except the twine... from The Twinery.

Tea for Two

When I saw this inspiration photo at TSG I had to play along, it was just so fun!

I used this weeks sketch from Sasya's sketches:

I also incorporated the Scrapbooker's Paradise Ponderings Challenge - as I used my McGill Fancy Square Punch and a corner rounder.

I decided to use the Tea Party items from Pretty Little Studio for a quick and easy card.  The sentiment is from the Tea for Two stamp set from There She Goes.  I also added a Doodlebug gem and some Twinery Twine.

Some Scrap-Mart goodies

It is my day over at the Scrap-Mart blog, here is a little peek at what I have over there.  Need a quick and easy gift bag?  Well head on over.

Oh and one more thing, don't forget that Lessology is looking for one more DT member, could it be you?
