Warm Wishes gift ensemble

It is time for another challenge at the Ribbon Carousel and this week is an easy one - Anything Goes.

This is the first week with the new team!  Be sure to pop on over to take a look.

This week, we’re sponsoring our own challenge with asampling of 5 spools filled with 25 yards of gorgeous twine in fabulousseasonal colors (just added to the store as well)!
Your creation can be anything from cards, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings! *** Be sure to have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace, thread (basically anything thatcomes on a spool). ***

I decided to get into the Christmas mode now that Halloween (and Thanksgiving here in Canada) is pretty much over.  I made a little gift package for a neighbor, paperboy, mailman, or anyone that just needs a little warm wishes.  It contains a couple of gourmet hot chocolate, mini marshmallows and gingerbread candy canes.  You could also pop in a Starbuck's Gift Card.  The pattern paper is Cosmo Cricket - Garden Variety, the stamps are from PTI and the twine is the May Arts Bittersweet Jute Twine which of course is availble at the Ribbon Carousel.

Winning Follower is...

Happy Halloween everyone!  Hope you have a great day.  I know I will be pooped at the end of the day.  A classroom full of excited grade ones always wears me out ;)  Looking forward to seeing the trick or treaters tonight though.

Now for some fun news:

Woo hoo, I reached 600 followers!  Thank you everyone!  So through Random Number, here is the winning follower:

That winner is:  isay!  Congrats to you! Please email me with your mailing information and I will get that out to you as soon as possible.

Eek

My final project for the Scrap Shotz Crop, I am all out of ideas and mojo ;).  This challenge was Jess's Coaster Challenge - use a coaster.  I cut the bat out of a coaster with my Sizzix and then covered it with paper.

I used the sketch from Stamping 411

I was also inspired by The Paper Variety Challenge:

I used my Doodlebug papers and Hopscotch letters along with some tags from Pretty Little Studio and some twine from The Twinery.  This is also for the Die Cuttin Divas challenge - Halloween Colors.

Celebrate It.

Still playing, hehehe.  Jason decided to make some homemade clam chowder so my kitchen was kind of busy... I figured I may as well go play.

I used this week's Twisted Sketch - twist being black.  I did flip the sketch though.
For my card I am playing along with the Scrap Shotz Crop again.  This one is for Rebecca's Black Pearl challenge - use black and pearls.  This is also for the Karber challenge - bling.  I have used some Bella Blvd Sophisticates paper, some May Arts ribbon, Prima gems and flower and of course the Karber image, Cocktel Denny.

Wowie almost 600 Followers!

I can't believe I have almost reached 600 followers! I am so honored that you follow my blog and enjoy what I post.  As a special thank you, when I hit 600 I will do a random draw.  I have an extra Limited Edition PTI stamp set from this year available and it will go to one of my followers.

Winter Wonderland

Just a reminder that I have been busy in the scraproom this weekend and have done a lot of posts.  Be sure to scroll down to see them all ;)

Whew, another project for the Scrap Shotz Crop, love when I can just play in my craft room.  Although I think now I should cook up some of the pumpkins I bought so I can do some baking.  Anyhow this challenge is for Connie's Fuzzy Navel challenge - something fuzzy.

I used this week's sketch from Freshly Made - I just flipped it.

I used my new Echo Park Holly Jolly papers.  It was a great challenge as it got me to use some of my PTI felt that just sits in a basket and looks pretty ;)  I have had it for awhile and it felt good to use it.  I cut out the mittens with a Spellbinders die.

SOG Gift Card/Money holder

Another quick little project for the Scrap Shotz Online Crop.  This is for Laura's Egg Nog Martini challenge - create a tag.  I made my tag into a gift card/money holder to hang from a tree - lots of teen girls in my family who would love to get this.  I have also used a Some Odd Girl image Bright Lights Kaylee - for the SOG 12 Weeks of Christmas challenge - decorating.  The paper is Cosmo Cricket Odds & Ends, the twine is Bittersweet Jute twine from May Arts and I have also included a bit of May Arts Natural Crochet Ribbon - both of which are available at Ribbon Carousel.  This is also for The Ribbon Girl Challenge - Christmas.

Some Odd Girl Giveaway!

Some Odd Girl is giving away 30 Digis!  Want a chance to win?  You just have to head over here, wish Kristy, the awesome artist behind the SOG cuties, a happy birthday (she has turned 30 - see the connection?) Anyhow, there is not much time, you only have until October 31st so head on over and help spread the word!

Simply Fabulous

And now another couple of challenges under my belt ;)

I used this week's sketch from Clean & Simple:

The challenge at the Scrap Shotz forum is Wendy's Grasshopper challenge - Mint Green and white as the main colors.  I dug out my Cosmo Cricket Clementine papers, my Applique Basics cartridge for the butterflies (Slice), my PTI stamp and die and a prima flower.  This went together very quickly and easily, gotta love that.

You Rule

I am playing along with the sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches:

This is another card for the Scrap Shotz Online Crop.  I made this for Connie's Appletini challenge - to include an apple.  Well I just picked up these cute little Maya Road rulers the other day and couldn't wait to use it, so this challenge was perfect!  The paper is from Studio Calico.  I have used the Sentiment Sampler and Falling for You stamp sets from Paper Smooches.  I also used the ledger background set from Unity.  The letter stickers are from October Afternoon and Doodlebug.

Love

I am playing along with the CAS-ual Friday's challenge.  Laura has a sketch, love her sketches!

This is also for another challenge over at the Scrap Shotz Online Crop.  This is for Gail's Rusty Nail challenge - include the color rust and some metal (I snuck in some staples).  I have used my Amy Tangerine papers from American Crafts, some American Craft thickers and some May Arts twine.

Coffee card

I will be posting a lot this weekend, be sure to scroll down to see everything.  For my Wee Memories post, see here

I am playing along this weekend in the Scrap Shotz Online Crop.  So far I have two challenges completed and this is my third.  Corry's Irish Coffee challenge is to incorporate texture into the project.  I used my Cricut (Love you a Latte cartridge)  for this, some real coffee beans and coffee grounds and of course some burlap and twine from The Twinery.  I made it into a Starbuck's Gift Card Holder.  This is also for the Moxie Fab Textured to Perfection challenge.

Little Miss

It is time for another Wee Memories challenge:

We are sponsored by Jay Gee's Nook and the prize is a $20 Gift Certificate.

I used some of my Echo Park Happy Days paper to create this baby card.  Not a usual baby pink (my favorite) baby girl card, but I like how it turned out.

Didn't make it

Well thank you everyone who voted for me at Practical Scrappers, I do appreciate it!  I didn't make the next round (but my team mate Amy Kolling did so be sure to go vote).  The next round of cards that were asked for was Rainbows and some embossing.  This was the card I made in case I made the next round:  It uses some scraps of cardstock, the PTI Woodgrain Embossing plate, some twine from The Twinery and the stamps are from Practicing Creativity.

Now truth be told, I did this card first... kind of forgot about the embossing part of it, hehehe.  Some Echo Park scraps, some more twine, and a PTI sentiment.  Oh well, I will use it for Jen's Blue Hawaii challenge - something summery and include blue, this should work.

Happy Halloween

Scrap Shotz is hosting an online Crop once again.  The theme this time is Happy Hour (all challenges revolve drinks), how fun is that!  The challenge I have come up with is based on this Pumpkin Pie Martini that I found on Pinterest (now I just have to make the martini!).  The card must have a pumpkin on it somewhere.

I used the Twisted Sketch for this week (the twist being orange)

I was also inspired by this at the Cupcake Inspiration blog:

I dug into my Echo Park Happy Halloween scraps, some Pretty Little Studio tags and a stamp set from The Stamps of Life.  Of course, always finished off with some twine from The Twinery.  I am also playing along with a couple challenges that have a Halloween theme: Fab n' Funky; Shopping our Stash and Stampin Royalty

You should come and play along over at Scrap Shotz, there is always a bunch of prizes and it is fun!

Monster love

I am playing along with the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge again:

I am also playing in the Kraft Journal challenge - anything goes;  Young Crafter's Unite challenge and Scrapbooker's Paradise Ponderings challenge- Masculine.

I was also inspired by the woodgrain in this photo from The Tuesday Trigger.

Once again I have used the Falling For You set.  I have used some Echo Park Happy Halloween Paper.   The twine is from The Twinery.  I did some free hand sewing to create the 'woodgrain' on this card, making this fit the Raise the Bar challenge.

The beautiful inspiration challenge from Little Red Wagon:

My super simple, quick and easy card.  I used some scraps of cardstock and a stamp from Technique Tuesday.  That's it, easy peesy!
