Warm Winter Birthday Wishes

What a gorgeous inspiration photo at The Shabby Tea Room this week:

As soon as I saw the photo I knew exactly which papers I was going to use.  I used the new Winter Wonderland and 12 Days of Christmas sets from Jessica Sprague.  I absolutely adore both of these sets!  I have only used the papers on this project but the tags, and other elements are so yummy I would suggest the whole collection!  The large snowflake is from the Carina Gardner Fresh Picked Winter collection, also available at Jessica Sprague. I used my Winter Wonderland Cricut cartridge to cut out the skates and the sentiment from the In the Meadow set by Papertrey Ink.  Of course the twine is from The Twinery and I have used my trusty Glue Dots to adhere the twine and skates.

Now if you love these papers as much as I do you should head on over to Jessica Sprague as they are having a fabulous holiday sale!!!

All of our digi kits (excluding Becky Higgins) are 35% off. All of the classes currently open for registration are 20% off. That even includes our new Digital Art Journaling Class and The Art of Poster Design Classes!!!

Now if that isn't fabulous in itself, how does a freebie sound???

Jessica is offering her annual free Holiday Class, for more information and how to sign up check this out.

Echo Park Guest!

I am on Echo Park blog today!!!  Way back at the beginning of November Jennifer Gallacher emailed me and asked if I would be interested in contributing to the Echo Park Blog for their holiday blog promotion, you can see that announcement here.

Stockings were hung

Such a great challenge this week at Ribbon Carousel.  The fabulous Stephanie Muzzulin is challenging you to Color our World!  Neutrals can always be used, but be sure to keep with Stephanie’s palette of Kraft, Red and Brown as your inspiration.

This week we are honored to have The Greeting Farm back as our sponsor!
The Greeting Farm will be giving one lucky random winner a choice of 4x6 rubber stamp set or one of their fabulous new clear acrylic stamp sets!

Your creation can be anything from cards, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings! *** Be sure to have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace, thread (basically anything that comes on a spool). ***

For my card I used some of the new Jillibean Soup Christmas papers along with the Timmi in Stocking image.  I also used a snippet of Red V Striped Twill and some Bittersweet Jute.

Will you be inspired?

I wonder if you will be inspired???

Happy Holidays Gingerbread House

As soon as I saw this inspiration from the Cupcake Inspirations challenge I knew what to do.

I dug into my Gingerbread Land by Nikki Sivils and went to work.   I used some Icicle Glitter by Martha Stewart on the roof of the Gingerbread house before mounting it on foam squares.  I have also used some Liquid Glass on the ornaments of the tree, the candy canes and lollipops on the house.  The bit of ribbon is some V Striped Twill and some White Metallic String, both from May Arts and available at Ribbon Carousel.

Don't forget that you have until tomorrow to make use of this fantastic sale, coupon code: Holiday20. You better hop on over to the Ribbon Carousel before time runs out!

Sweet

LOVE this sketch, and will probably use it again.

I used my Berrylicious collection from Imaginisce, it is just so sweet!  The twine is from The Twinery and the letters are American Crafts.

Featured on Nikki Sivils!

There are a bunch of fabulous creations on the Nikki Sivils blog today and I am very happy that I have a couple of cards featured there too, yay!

A Great Catch

The new challenge at Scrapbooker's Paradise is up:

Now I am definitely out of season with this one, but I had the idea 'swimming' around in my head and this challenge was perfect so I played along!  I used some Echo Park Splash paper, some twine from The Twinery and a PTI stamp.

Some more great news...

I am so lucky, I have had such fabulous happy email lately!  Some I have shared and some I will as soon as I can.  Today I am sharing that I was asked to be a part of the Scrapbooker's Paradise Challenge Team!  I am excited to be working with these ladies.  The announcement is here.

Christmas Notes

I used some more of the Pink Paislee Digital Collection available at Jessica Sprague.  This one is called Holiday Magic and the papers are so pretty.  I have also added some Scarab Blue Vintage Binding available at Ribbon Carousel.  I made a  pocket folder to hold some lists (what I have to buy/bought), and receipts so that everything is in one place.

Altered Note Pad Holder

I decided to fix up another Garage Sale find, love altering items!

I played with my Nikki Sivils Gingerbread Land collection and was it ever fun to play with!  I just love the fun patterns and the colors, so different than the traditional red and green.  Any time there is pink, I am sold ;) The little gingerbread house is mounted on Pop Dots for dimension and some coarse glitter is added for the snow.  All of the elements were adhered with Glue Dots.  I have used some twine from The Twinery to hold the pen.

Now I have a cute little note holder, perfect for those little notes we need to jot down during the busy season.

Snow Day Gift Card Holder

Here is my first project as a Jessica Sprague Creative Team Member!  So exciting!  I was assigned the Pink Paislee collections, did you know you could get some Pink Paislee papers digitally?  Isn't that fabulous!  I love using digital papers and elements for hybrid projects.  For this one I printed up the Snow Day papers (brand new to Jessica Sprague) and elements and then used them.  I used my Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge to cut out the hat.  I didn't attach the brim all across the top as I am using it as a gift card holder.  I thought it would be great to give my BIL and family a family snow tubing pass at our local mounting as a gift.  I printed out the circle element 2 times so that I could layer it and the middle is mounted on foam tape.  I threaded the ribbon through the holes before adhering the hat to the background cardstock.  I punched a couple of snowflakes.  The pom pom was done with some Martha Stewart glitter.  Finally a button and some Twine from The Twinery to finish it off.  This is for the Shopping our Stash challenge - Christmas or winter; Party Time Tuesday - snow

Now head on over to Jessica Sprague to see the new goodies!  You can see these papers but we also have some digi versions of the new Becky Higgins Project Life! You can see the new stuff here.

Warm Holiday Wishes

I played along with a couple of challenges.  First up the CAS-ual Fridays sketch:

I LOVE this inspiration from Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger so I had to play along right away.

For my card I inked up some Papertrey Ink stamps (Holiday Photo Finishers, Candy Cane Christmas, Stylish Sentiments) along with the Woodgrain Background from Unity.  The ribbon is the Red V Striped twill from May Arts, of course available at the Ribbon Carousel. This is also for the Papertake Weekly challenge - Christmas

Oh and get a load of this!  Ribbon Carousel is having a sale this weekend.  It will run from Thursday to Monday and will be the last big sale of the year!  What a great chance to purchase some of that fabulous ribbon, twine or jute you have been eyeing ;)

Don't forget to play along with the RCC challenge this week: Holiday Hoopla.  We have a fabulous sponsor... none other than Jenny Suchin from Wee Memories!!! You have a chance to win one of her adorable owl stamp sets!

Get Well Soon

I felt like doing another round card so this sketch was perfect! It is from Just Add Ink:

I also played along with the Scrapbooker's Paradise Ponderings challenge:

Once again I have used the Get Well Soon papers from Nikki Sivils.

Home Grown Sweetie

My third post for today, please scroll down.

Another great layout sketch that I couldn't pass up.  This one is from Pretty Little Studio:

I used my Berrylicious collection from Imaginisce.  Also some Cappuccino twine from the Twinery and a bit of V Striped twill from May Arts - both available at Ribbon Carousel.  I have also used a Journaling bracket from Pretty Little Studio.  Finally, the pennants at the top of the page are cut from some of the Imaginisce packaging... love that they have pretty packaging!  I adhered the die cut elements with some Glue Dots and some of them are on the Pop Dots for dimension.
