I was a guest on the My Mind's Eye blog this week and I thought I would share the projects here too.
Today I am showing you the ones I made with the Winter Wonderland Collection.
I love going out to garage sales and thrift shops looking for things that I will be able to alter. I got both of these wooden items for next to nothing and as soon as I saw the Winter Wonderland Collection I knew that it would be perfect.
Both of these went together very quickly and I love how the addition of the felt to the stocking looks and feels.
Both pieces were just basecoated pieces of wood. The stocking had a folk art type of painting on it. I cut out the pieces to fit, adhered some felt and the sentiment, stitched then adhered them to the wooden piece. Finally I adhered the snowflake and then wrapped and tied the twine and bells.
Then I created this card. The ribbon is some V Striped Twill from May Arts.
These are absolutely beautiful, Laurel! I love this line, and you've showcased it brilliantly! Congrats on your guest design spot with MME!
