Inspired By #51
You have until tonight to play along with my Inspired By Challenge.
I have a box full of wooden blocks that I picked up at a garage sale for 50 cents! I also used it as inspiration to create a few items to add to my Christmas home decor. Now I really wanted to stage this photo with some of the cute Santas that I have collected over the years. However, with our house in an upheaval - most of our dining room and living room is full of kitchen stuff due to the kitchen reno... I just did not feel like digging out anymore stuff. You will have to imagine it ;) The black tray was a thrift store silver tray that I spray painted with chalkboard paint - no chalk at home, otherwise I would have written something Christmasy on it.

This frame was also something I picked up at a garage sale for next to nothing. It had one of those chipboard oil paintings in it and the frame was gold. I painted the frame black, then white then sanded it slightly to mimic the distressing of the chair in the photo. The photo is a printable I found on Pinterest, I just printed it up on Textured Cardstock to mimic the look of a painted canvas.
Now here is the block. I sanded it down a bit then rubbed a candle over it in spots so it would be easy to distress. I painted the front and back white and the edges black, then sanded them slightly. I used my cricut to cut out the word, then used it as a stencil. This was so easy and quick.

Always Will
I am up on the Pebbles Blog today. This week we will be showcasing the new Family Ties collection. This is such a wonderful collection, the colors are so fun and I love all the journaling cards! I used my Cricut Graphically Speaking to cut out the hears and used the negative strips as well as some of the hearts. The twine is from Divine Twine.
I used the this week's sketch from Creative Scrappers:
December 25th
I am up on the Jillibean Soup Blog today and once again I have used the Winter Tortellini & Spinach collection, such a fun non-traditional Christmas pack.
This is for the Young Crafter's Unite Challenge:
Now be sure to head on over to the Jillibean Soup Blog to see what the other designers have for you today.

Fa-La-La
I just got my Fa-La-La Collection kit by Lawn Fawn in the mail yesterday and couldn't wait to break into it. Such fun non-traditional Christmas papers.
First up a card using another one of my new Silhouette cuts:
I was inspired by Kimber's sketch:
And another card, this one uses the Jingle All the Way stamp set by Technique Tuesday.
I used this week's sketch by Retro Sketches.

Find Joy
I was very frustrated with the Silhouette site last night but I did manage to pick up a couple of cuts. This morning I decided to use one of them and used it on a card. The paper and library card pocket is all from the Seen & Noted set by Pebbles. I really love the phrase cuts by Silhouette and can't wait to use the rest of the ones I purchased.
The stamp is You're Cute by Unity.

Miss U
I decided to break into my Echo Park Everyday Ecclectic collection and came up with this fun card. The chipboard word bubble is from Pebbles, which I love as they are white on the opposite side!

Inspired By #50
You have until tonight to play along in my Baking Inspired Challenge.
I decided to go with the colors and the baking theme and started getting ready for my Christmas baking (that is if my kitchen is done) by creating a little treat box to give them in. I used my Winter Tortellini & Spinach Collection by Jillibean Soup. The template is by Perfect Presention, the stamps are from Papertrey Ink and I cut the tag with my Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2, the rolling pin with the From My Kitchen and finally the Gingerbread Man with my Gingerbread - all of them cricut cartridges. Finally it is all tied up with some Jute Twine.

Give Thanks
Have you played along yet with this month's Ribbon carousel Challenge?! We are now doing monthly challenges with a big 'ol prize at the end for one lucky challenge participant!
Each month we are giving away a Ribbon Carousel
to one of our randomly chosen challenge participants!
Although our Thanksgiving is over here in Canada, I was going to make a fall card but these papers and tag were just calling my name. The papers are from Bella Blvd, and of course the Jute twine is from May Arts.
Now be sure to head on over to the Ribbon Carousel Blog to see what the other DT have created and be sure to play along.

A couple more Imaginisce cards
While I had the scraps still out on my desk... who am I kidding - everything from the last few months is pretty much still on my desk, LOL! Anyhow, I pretty much only have scraps left of this fabulous Sole Sisters Collection by Imaginisce so I thought since I need to stock up on 'girly' cards - I may as well.
I used a Skipping Stones, Birthday Purses stamp on this one - the sentiment on white cardstock is on foam squares.
I was inspired by this sketch on Pam's blog.
Not a lot left of my Sole Sisters collection, it was definitely one of my favs from Imaginisce!

Some Imaginisce Projects
Imaginisce is hosting a bunch of challenges this weekend and I decided to play along. I am using an older but one of my all time favorite Imaginisce collections Sole Sisters - such fun patterns, colors and elements! Perfect for some much needed teenage girl cards since I am lacking in those lately!
I am playing along with the sketch challenge with this card.
Here is the sketch
The next challenge that I am entering is the stitching challenge - not really a challenge for me, I always stitch on my projects.
I used this week's Clean & Simple sketch:
Very Merry Cards
I have a lot to do around the house today. I need to finish dusting the drywall dust from everything and try to get some sort of normalcy around here. But before that I wanted to play. I dug out my Echo Park Very Merry and went to work and whipped up a couple of cards. I used my Silhoutte on both of them.
A super simple card, a good one for mailing. The hat is a Silhoutte cut.
I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches
Next up I used another Silhoutte cut, this one the 'ho, ho, ho' frame but I just used the sentiment part of it. I have also used some Elle's Studio Be Merry Cutouts. The Twine is from Divine Twine.
I used Kimber's sketch at 2Peas... although I do have a bit more layering - love layers!

Holly Lane and Birdie Brown
I was assigned to work with KI Memories at Jessica Sprague this month so I decided to use the Holly Lane Collection.
First up is a Christmas card. I used the new digi image Christmas Elf by BirdieBrown, isn't it adorable?! The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday, Jingle All The Way. It has been awhile since I colored an image and it was kind of fun, although I am still a paper piecer at heart ;)

For my next project I used another new BirdieBrown image called Snowman Mug. I enlarged it to create a shaped card that holds a packet of hot chocolate and a candy cane. The stamped tag is from Gina K, called Winter Mittens.

Wintertime
Another short post. I am thinking I may be getting a sinus infection, bleh. Another winter themed card. I used my Crate Paper Peppermint along with some Elle's Studio goodies.
