Love Story Lunchbox Tin

I was up on the Echo Park Blog the other day, cut I thought I would post it here too.

I thought that this would make a fun little gift for that special someone. The notecards are perfect for writing a note about what you love about that person. Of course including some treats is always appreciated.  I had this little lunch box tin in my stash just waiting for the right project and this one was it. I just covered the front of it with some of the "Love Story" papers, chipboard, stickers and brads. If you are going to add stitching to your project like I have, be sure to create the front panel before adhering to the tin.

I then used some of the "Love Story" stickers to decorate a clear tube filled with hot tamales. The finishing touch is the addition of the twine wrapped around the top.

The little notecards are 3" X 3" which fit nicely into the tin. I then punched a circle of pattern paper and adhered to the bottom of the chocolates, a nice addition that carries the theme throughout the whole gift.

I used my Glue Dots® to adhere everything before sewing and onto the Hershey Kisses.

Look what you have become

When I saw the new Lily Bee sketch I knew I had to play along.  I always love Nicole's sketches and it gave me the chance to finally break into my Persnickety collection.  I really love the colors and patterns of the papers and most especially the ones I used here tonight.  I have also used a few Unity SMAK kit stamps, some Silhouette cuts and a couple of cute buttons from A Flair for Buttons.  Now to add a bit of distressing to the paper, I rubbed the edges with my ink pad and then I used the edge of my ink pad and dragged it gently across the page in some spots.  I have not used this technique for ages!

Here is the sketch from the Lily Bee Blog.

You have until tonight to play along with  my Inspired By Challenge.

Now for my project, I picked up on a few things.  Obviously the colors, but the roulette wheel made me think of spokes on a bike, I also pulled out the numbers and incorporated a bit of metal with my Tim Holtz tiny attacher.  I used the new Irish Farmhouse Soup collection by Jillibean Soup along with some Unity SMAK stamps and of course some Twine.

Echo Park Love Story

This is my second post for today, please scroll down for my Jillibean Soup post.

I have my first Echo Park Blog Post up at the Echo Park Blog using Love Story.  I would love for you to take a peek!  I have a lot more photos up there!

Great Dads

I am up on the Jillibean Soup Blog again today and I have created a masculine card using the Macho Nacho collection.  I do believe that this has got to be my most used Jillibean collection ever!  I just love it! I cut the hat with my Suburbia Cricut cartridge.

Now be sure to head on over to the Jillibean Soup Blog to see what the rest of the designers have created for you.

Special Delivery

It is my day up in the Scrap Shotz forum with my card challenge.  My challenge is to incorporate a pocket into the card somehow.  I used my new Irish Farmhouse Soup collection by Jillibean Soup to create my pocket card.  Wouldn't it be fun to include a travel gift card in the pocket.

Friends

When I saw the sketch from My Mind's Eye I had to play along as I had these photos just waiting to be scrapped.  I used the The Sweetest Thing collection (even used some of the 6 X 6 paper pad) along with some twine from Miss Caroline.  The flowers were fussy cut from some of the pattern paper, the arrow background and title were cut with my Silhouette.

Here is the sketch:

I am also going to enter this into the My Mind's Eye and Gossamer Blue Guest Designer contest.

Happy Note

I had this card up on the Love My Tapes blog the other day using the Seen & Noted collection by Pebbles.  The sentiment is a PTI stamp.  To create the little 'flag' I used a bit of washi tape.  I adhered the pencils with Removable Glue Dots so that the person who recieves it can then use them.

After creating it, I decided I wanted to try a similiar one using my Cricut.  So I used my Locker Talk cartridge and came up with this card.  I love the Seen & Noted collection.  I even picked up more from Scrapbook Steals the other day.  Once again the PTI stamp and some washi tape to create the little flag.  I left the talking bubble blank, so that I could personalize it when I used the card.

On Trend Trio

I was playing around with my Crate Paper On Trend collection the other day.  I love this collection.  The colors and patterns are so... well on trend ;)

Altered Notebook set

I am up for my second post as a Guest over on the Love My Tapes blog.  I will show you one project here but to see the rest you will have to pop on over there ;)

For this project, I once again used my Lawn Fawn Dewey Decimal collection along with the Math tape from Love My Tapes.  I like to cover little notebooks for the prize bin in my classroom and this time I created a matching pencil to go with it.  I wrapped the pencil in the tape, so easy!

Happily Ever After

I was asked by a co-worker today if I had any wedding cards as she wanted to buy one off of me.  I searched through my stash and I had a few that could be wedding cards but I don't know about you... but when I look at my old stash - I don't like them anymore.  They were even ones that had been published.  So I went to work with my Country Boutique collection by Fancy Pants, a Papertrey Ink stamp (Big & Bold Wishes) and my Silhouette and this is what I came up with.  It had to be a quick card as she needs it tomorrow.

A close up to show the May Arts twine and how I added a bit of the tulle for a soft feel.

Did you Get the Memo?

So yeah, I am finally breaking into my October Afternoon 9 to 5 collection, I love it but just couldn't bring myself to use it.  I thought this card would be suitable for so many occassions.  I used my Silhouette for the sentiment arrow, the stamp is from Lawn Fawn.

Inspired By #58

You have until tonight to play along in the Inspired By challenge.

I used my Family Ties collection by Pebbles as they were perfect!  I kept the design CAS just like the inspiration.  The twine is from Divine Twine.

So Sweet

Just playing with some of my stash of My Mind's Eye papers.  I love this collection, The Sweetest Thing.

Live Simply

It is project day over at the Jillibean Soup Blog and I have a quick and easy upcycled canvas for you.  I used the Neopolitan Bean Bisque collection to make this little wall art piece that I now have sitting near my computer desk, as I love the saying on it - great words to live by.

Now be sure to pop on over to the Jillibean Soup Blog to see what the rest of the designers have created for you today.
