Unity Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Unity Blog Hop.  Be sure to leave comments, you never know... you may be our next winner!

When I saw this week's releases I couldn't wait to play with them.  Such little cuties!  Of course they work very well for some invitations for my grand daughter's first birthday!  I kept them simple, adding some interest by paper piecing and mounting the little girls on foam squares.  The paper is from American Crafts.

Be sure to check out our sale, because what would Thursday be without a Unity sale?! :)

Boy Themed Cards on the MME Blog

I am up on the My Mind's Eye Blog today with a couple of birthday I created to add to my stash for the kiddos in my class.  I had fun with some new PTI dies and the Hello World collection.  I like how this travel themed paper worked for some boy themed cards.

The background die is from Simon Says but the rest are from PTI.

Then I decided to give a go at a shaker box, haven't created one of those for awhile :)

What 6 year old wouldn't like some sequins in his/her card.

For more information please head on over to the MME Blog.

Unity Blog Hop

Welcome to this week's blog hop with Unity.  Be sure to leave comment along the way for your chance at a prize!

I used the World of Wonders SMAK kit to create my card.  I paired it with some Heidi Swapp (so sorry for her loss and I am thinking about her and her family).  Once again some fussy cutting :)  are you surprised?

I was inspired by this month's Be Inspired challenge - can you guess which one inspired me?

Now there are some amazing new releases this week - I think I want need them all!  And of course to go along with it is a fabulous sale!  Click on the graphic to be taken to the store.

Stitched Fussy Cutting

It always amazes me what you can create with some paper, good scissors (I use the Micro Tip from CTMH) and foam squares.  Don't get me wrong, I love embellishments but sometimes I like to see what I can do with just paper...

Today I have created a couple of cards using the Stitched collection by American Crafts.  The flowered paper is what sold me.  I love flowers and those colors are so pretty!

Of course some stitching and foam squares for some interest.

Finally some die cut lettering (this one is a PTI die).

Thanks for stopping by.

Sunshine in my Soul

Guess what?  I have a layout again :)

I am up on the My Mind's Eye Blog today with a layout using the Just Sayin' collection.

I love these photos of my grand daughter (well I pretty much love any photo of her ;) )

I fussy cut the title from one of the Art Prints in the collection, and the flowers and bird cluster from some of the pattern paper.  I like how inexpensively you can embellish a page with fussy cutting.  You don't need a lot of embellishments - just good scissors :)

For more information please check out the My Mind's Eye Blog.

Cottage Living cards

It was a smoke filled day with air quality warnings so what better thing to do than play in my scraproom - obviously before my grand daughter arrived :)

I used the Cottage Living collection by Pebbles.  Such a pretty collection.

First up I used one of my favorite background dies - the Mini Chicken Wire (must be the country girl in me ;)  )

The sentiment stamp is from Papertrey Ink and of course a Silhouette cut.  The flowers on top have been fussy cut from pattern paper and mounted with foam squares

I was inspired by this week's CAS(E) this sketch:

Next up I had fun using up some scraps on this card and breaking in my new die from Altnew.  Once again the sentiment stamp is PTI.

See I did use scraps... I even used the edge of the papers hence the hole in the strip :)

I was inspired by this sketch over at Let's Capture Our Memories.

Precious Layout

Today is my day up on the Scrapbook Adhesives Blog and I have a layout to share - yes a layout, don't do enough of those lately!

I used the Cienna collection by Elle's Studio, isn't it pretty?!  Of course some Scrapbook Adhesives

I love this photo of my daughter and grand daughter and couldn't wait to scrap it. (wish I looked that good in selfies ;) )

For more information and detailed shots, please see the Scrapbook Adhesive Blog.

Sweet Routine of card making

I played again... this summer is starting out just right ;)

I LOVE the Sweet Routine collection by Webster's Pages - the colors, patterns, flowers... just love it!

I also used the French Kiss Life LOL by Unity for some subtle background stamping.  I will be using this set over and over.

I fussy cut the roses from some of the pattern paper and of course finished off with a Silhouette cut and some stitching.

I paired the Tea for Two stamp set (one of my most used PTI sets) and coordinating die for this card.

The rose on the cup was fussy cut and adhered, the plate and cup were mounted on foam squares.

Finally a just because card.

I punched out the circle from some of the pattern paper, adhered the die cut tea cup and mounted with foam squares.

Yippee Picnic Time

I snuck in some crafty time before the chaos of the day begins :)

For this card I used the Yippee collection by Chickaniddy Crafts along with some PTI stamps and dies.

I haven't used my Friendship Jar for awhile and it is one of my favorites.  I also love the lemon die from My Favorite Things

Thanks for visiting and happy Saturday!

Unity Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to this week's Unity Blog Hop.  I do hope you have been leaving comments along the way for your chance at one of the prizes.

I have created a card for you today (surprise, surprise ;)  )  using an Angie Girl (Erica Girl) along with a couple of SMAK kits (All in the Numbers;  Leave Ordinary Behind).  I paired these with the Office Suite collection by Fancy Pants - love the soft colors mixed with the black.

The tag is from All in the Numbers and the sentiment along with the background butterflies (can you see them subtly stamped?) is from the Leave Ordinary Behind kit.  I then mounted the main image on some Foam Squares for dimension.
