Friend Blend tea card

It is my last post as guest designer over at Coffee Loving Cardmakers.  I couldn't go without creating a tea card ;)

I used some Prima papers along with some PTI stamps and the die is from Simon Says.

Using a tag makes for an easy layered card

I have another Christmas card for you today.  How are you doing on your shopping this year?  What about your cards, have you got them ready to go?

I created this with the Wish Season by Fancy Pants.  Super easy to put together.

I then finished it off with a punched snowflake and the sentiment is a Simon Says die.  Easy peesy.

Warm Wishes

I am up once again on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker blog and this is the card I am sharing.  I used the Wish Season collection by Fancy Pants... it had me at pink ;)

I paired it up with the Coffee Love stamp set by Precious Remembrance Set.  And yes, we are starting to feel a chill in the air :)

Holiday Shaker card

I'm back with another holiday card.  I used the Very Merry paper by Reverse Confetti along with a mitten die from MFT and the sentiment die from PTI.

I created a shaker card, putting everything but the sentiment behind the shaker.

Handmade signs using reclaimed wood

I have not posted much this past week, but I have been busy - just not with paper :)  I decided to play with some of the reclaimed wood of mine, (that hubby tried to take to the dump  - men!) Anyways it has been fun and  I have a few more pieces as well.  I love the Country Chic Chalk Paint, such great coverage and so easy to use!

I can't wait to put the Hot Cocoa one up... not long now :)  I have a similar coffee sign that I created and it is already up in my kitchen... will replace it with the cocoa one for the holidays.  To create the coffee sign I stained then stenciled on the letters.

I also have a similar Vintage Collectibles sign that I created for my bathroom... this one is for?  Haven't figured it out yet!

Finally another Coffee sign... you wouldn't know I don't like coffee would you?  I love everything coffee - just not the taste.  I didn't do anything to this piece... just sanded it and painted the wording... it was already painted and worn - talk about easy!

Upcycled chocolate box

Every once in awhile I create something that I just love!  Lately I have been working on upcycling thrift store finds and repurposing wood.  Well I have been loving it!  Today I altered a thrift store wooden chocolate box.

First I painted it with some Country Chic Chalk Paint.  I love this paint for many reasons... one of which is that it is made here in Canada!  After painting, I used a cut file from my Silhouette as a stencil and stenciled on the label.  I added a bit of shadowing to the letters with a black sharpie but everything else was done with chalk paint.  I then sanded the box until I was happy with the look.  As a final step I waxed it with a clear wax and then a dark brown wax.

I can't wait to display this little gem in amongst my Christmas decorations... soon, very soon ;)

Grateful

I am so honored to have been asked to be the guest designer over at Coffee Loving Papercrafters for the month of November!

My first project is up today.  Once again using some Woodland Forest paper by Pebbles.  The window die is from My Favorite Things and the others are from Simon Says.  I also used a Woodgrain embossing plate from PTI.

Coffee Shaker card

Another coffee card for me today.  And today I put my Silhouette to use for the mug and sentiment.  I used the Warm and Cozy collection by Pebbles for this fall inspired card.

I made the card into a shaker card using the Simon Says Basic Rectangle die and Crafty Foam Tape from Scrapbook Adhesives Inside the shaker I have.... coffee beans, yes.... coffee beans.  I love how they look in there!  I then used some DODZ to adhere some beans onto the front of the card.  Now this one definitely is not postal friendly but that's ok... I have a bunch of coffee loving friends that are local.

#mood

Once again, got into my craft room before the little cyclone... aka my grand daughter arrives ;)

The die is from Stamplorations.  I mounted the cup on foam squares for a bit of dimension.

Am I skinny yet?

I am having fun with these Art Impressions stamps!  I used the Skinny Yet set along with some Chickaniddy Crafts papers, I thought the ruler background paper was perfect :)  The tags at the top are from the About the Inches stamp set by Unity.

To carry out the theme, I stamped some random sentiments from Technique Tuesday stamp sets(Planner Fitness), ... sort of like a exercise journal.  I colored and paper pieced the image and then mounted her on foam squares.

Coffee with a friend...

I had a bit of time to play this afternoon as my daughter took my grand daughter out for a bit.  Then I had a nap ;)

Anyways I used the Woodland Forest collection by Pebbles along with the Hot Cocoa die from My Favorite things.

The coffee ring stamp is from Darkroom Door.  I stamped a Precious Remembrance sentiment (Coffee Love) right onto the cup.  The grateful is a Simon Says die.  I mounted the cup on foam squares.

Believe in the magic

Played in my craft room before I start the day of chores and playing with grand daughter.  I used some WRMK paper along with a stamp from Art Impressions (Elf Shaker)!  I had fun paper piecing this guy.

I used some washi tape from Little B as well as the believe die from Stamplorations.  The sentiment boxes are just cut from the pattern paper.  Of course I had to add some vellum snowflakes :)

Check out how the little package wobbles, so cute :)
