Sketchy Saturday with Carta Bella

Here we are Saturday already.... my holidays are quickly coming to an end!  I better make the best of the next few days.

Anyways time for another sketch and I have used the Spring Market collection by Carta Bella once again.

To create the woodgrain paper, I just embossed some cardstock using the Pinewood Plank embossing folder by SU! I then used the Tall Stripe Panel Die from Reverse Confetti to cut out a 'ladder'.  I mounted it on foam squares for dimension.

That little '7' in the cluster is from Maya Road, I like the added detail that it adds.
This Carta Bella collection is just so pretty!  I can't stop using it!

Anyways here is this week's sketch.  Would love to see your take on it :)

Pattern Happy and Ellen Hutson Blog Hop

Eeekkk, I'm so excited to be doing my official post as a Design Team member for Pattern Happy!  Today is extra special because we are partnering up with Ellen Hutson - who will be carrying Pattern Happy in her store! Yippee!

***Not only do we have bunches of inspiration, we have prizes!!! Make sure to leave comments at each stop on the hop for a chance to win one of two Pattern Happy prize packs! Leave your comments before April 5th, at 11:59pm PST. Winners will be contacted via email.***

You should have arrived here from Kristine's blog. If not you may want to go back to Pattern Happy blog and start from the beginning.

The theme is spring and although we have sun fun spring papers (called Rainbows - see it here) I went out of the box and used some of the other papers for my projects.  I like to show how versatile these fun products can be.

For the first of the projects, I created a couple of cards using the Geofetti collection

For my first card I latered some of the pattern paper behind a die cut panel.  I then stamped the clouds using the Cloudy Day Pattern Background stamp and then just cut out a few of them.  I like stitching, so I added some to the clouds and the die cut grass (which I cut out of the Robots paper).  I then cut the umbrella using my Silhouette and mounted it on foam squares.

Next up, a card with rain boots... be still my heart - pink boots :)  I would love a pair of baby pink rain boots!  Once again, I layered up some of the pattern paper from the Geofetti collection and the grass is from the Robots collection.  I stamped the Hello using the Mini Greeting stamp and then die cut it out with the Mini Containers die and mounted on foam squares. The boots were cut with my Silhouette and mounted with foam squares as well.

Playing once again in the Pinspirational challenge:

Finally, we couldn't have a spring themed hop so close to Easter without some sort of Easter project.  I used the Robots paper to create a little gift box (full of mini eggs.... working hard here not to eat them myself, LOL)

I just cut and layered papers for the box and then created a tag.  I cut the carrot with my Silhouette and then stitched it.

CLC teams up with A2z Scrapbooking

Yay, welcome to the A2Z Scrapbooking and Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop.  Be sure to be hopping along and leaving comments as there are prizes up for grabs!

I have used the Hero Arts Caffeine Fix set to create a coffee bag.

Of course when giving a bag of coffee, you need a card as well. So I used the Hug in a Mug set.  The mugs are mounted on foam squares.

To create the bag I first created the little label in photoshop then just printed it out.  Easy peesy!

Now just a reminder to hop along and leave comments... there is a prize up for grabs to one lucky winner - A Hug in a Mug digital image and another digital set of your choice!

More Fitness Planner pages - with free printable

I am up on the Unity Blog again with more pages in my Fitness planner.  I have used some Elle's Studio papers and tags, and of course Unity Stamps.

I used the XOXO paper pack from Elle's Studio as well as the January Kit.

The page on the left is my printable.  I will be keeping track for the next few months so I figured it would be easier to just print this off then write it out each month.  It is editiable so if you would like it, just comment, I would be happy to send it to you.  I added some papers and a button from A Flair for Buttons, just to 'pretty' it up.

I have more information and photos up on the Unity blog so be sure to hop on over there :)

Playing along at: (the stitch stamp is at least 4 years old and the month a couple :) )

Inspired By Spring Sunshine

The new Inspired By challenge is up  and I have once again used the Bright Side collection by Fancy Pants to play along.  The stamped sentiment is from the Choose Joy stamp set by Simon Says and once again, that fun spring die from Echo Park.

I mounted the ephemera on foam squares for some dimension and then scattered sequins to represent the bursting of spring.... although truth be told, it hasn't quite burst here ;)

Now here is the inspiration photo, pretty hey?  Be sure to hop on over to the IB blog to see what the design team has created and this week, DT member Danni created a sketch to go along with the photo so come see (click on photo)

Sneak peek of a new challenge coming your way

A new challenge is coming your way... starting April 2nd.... it is going to be fun! Stay Tuned :)

Celebrate Spring.

I am up on the A Flair for Buttons blog today with a spring themed card.   I used the Spring Market collection by Carta Bella along with a stamp from Technique Tuesday.

To carry out the garden theme, I tucked in some burlap ribbon.  I love that little button iGarden, it is so cute!

Once this weather smartens up, I'm looking forward to getting into my flower beds!

Also (the stamp is retired so it is definitely older than 1 year ;) )
