Mindful Monday - outside
What is Mindful Monday? well... it is explained here, but in a nutshell, documenting simple things that just make us happy. I think it is important to take the time to be mindful and just appreciate what we have, and the simple and amazing things that surround us in our daily lives.
This week's prompt is 'outside'
What does that mean to you? having tea/coffee/beer on your deck? pushing your kids on a swing? enjoying the beauty of your flower garden? going for a walk?....
Me: although sometimes I don't admit it... I love our forests ;) I would absolutely jump at a chance to own a cabin in the woods!
I have used more of the Wander collection by My Mind's Eye along with some Unity stamps (Epic Moments and A Summer Story) to help document my thoughts.

The cut file is from Kerri Bradford. I love the Paradise sentiment from the A Summer Story KOTM as it is so true!
Now I would love to see your take on the prompt. What simple pleasure makes your heart happy when you hear the word 'outside'?

Same Stamps, same basic sketch two different looks
I am up on the Unity Blog today sharing a couple of cards. Both have used the same stamps and basic sketch... but they have different looks.
I have used Echo Park paper on both... and I even did some coloring on the more traditional one... I'm happy with how the jeans turned out.
For more details, please head on over to the Unity Blog.

You are one Fineapple - Inspired By pool time
The new Inspired By Challenge is up and this week I took it pretty literal. I pulled one of the images and put it right onto my card ;)
I used the pineapple2stamp from The Stamps of Life along with the coordinating die to create this fun card.
Here is the inspiration... can you tell how I was inspired?! Go check out the rest of the DT and of course play along!

I actually stamped it on yellow cardstock and then colored with copics. I cut the chair with my Silhouette then added texture with the woodgrain texture from SU!.
The pineapple (and his glasses) are mounted on foam squares for dimension. I then added the die cut sentiment

National Wine and Cheese Day
Did you know today was National Wine and Cheese day? In honor of the occasion, I challenged myself to use some of my neglected wine theme supplies.
I have a quick and easy card to share. It feels good to finally ink up the Uncorked Stamp set from PTI. I paired it up with a SU! stamp set... they go well together don't they? I mounted the main image on foam squares the the center panel on foam strips. Like I said, quick and easy. My friend's birthday is coming up and she likes her wine... perfect for her.

Grillin' and Chillin'
I am up on the A Flair for Buttons blog today with this fun BBQ themed card. I had to have the BBQ flair when I saw it as BBQ foods are my favorite!
The papers are the Good Day Sunshine papers from Echo Park. I cut the apron with my Silhouette. I fussy cut the banner from some of the pattern paper so I had to add a beer... don't you think? I used the Keep Calm, Have a Beer stamp from Unity.
For more details, please see the AFFB Blog.

Mindful Monday - Fruit
Hey, I'm a little late posting as this is live crafting happening. I'm not sure where the time goes, as I am on summer vacation but for some reason I am finding it harder to get my crafting done! LOL
What is Mindful Monday? well... it is explained here, but in a nutshell, documenting simple things that just make us happy. I think it is important to take the time to be mindful and just appreciate what we have, and the simple and amazing things that surround us in our daily lives.
This week's prompt is fruit.
So... what does that mean to you? Are you a teacher and an apple has a special place in your heart? what about grandma's apple pies? Picking blackberries for jam with your mom? Or maybe it is pineapple because you first had it while on a tropical vacation?.....
Me... I'm cherry!
I have used Good Day Sunshine papers from Echo Park (the lemon/cherry and gingham paper had me) along with the fabulous Berry Bliss stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps. You know I had to have the stamp set because of those cherries right? I cut the title with my Silhouette.
Anyways onto the cherry. I absolutely love the taste of cherries. I look forward to them every summer. I don't like canned, maraschino or even cherry pie... just the sweet, juicy fresh ones.
Perhaps it is because of the memory I have attached to them... or just the taste, either way. I savor every cherry I have as I know, when they are gone, I have to wait a year!
My grandma had a cherry tree in her yard. She would bring us ice cream buckets full of cherries every year. I looked forward to it. I remember grabbing the whole bucket and a bowl for the pits and hunkering down to eat. My mom would say, "don't eat too many..." I don't remember how many I ate at a time, but I love the memory that I have of cherries and my grandma.
Now I would love to hear what fruit just makes you happy and why.

Sketchy Saturday with Pebbles and Technique Tuesday
Hi everyone, glad you stopped by for another Sketchy Saturday. I wasn't sure I'd get anything posted today. I am on summer holidays so you would think I have more time to craft but that doesn't seem to be happening!
Anyways, I snuck in a quick card for today.
I used some Pebbles paper and it fit well with the fun Funny Fruits Stamp set by Technique Tuesday, I will have fun with this one. Love the orange and banana too!
I stamped, paper pieced and mounted the pineapple on foam squares over top of some stickers that came in the collection. I then added the chipboard sunglasses... they fit perfectly don't you think?
Check out the fun stamp set:

Next up, the image was stamped on pattern paper, although I did add a touch of white cardstock for the inside of the mug. It too was mounted on foam squares.
