Grateful for family layout

Hey everyone I'm back with a layout using the Grateful Heart collection along with some papers from the Seasons Mix Ins - love the patterns an colors in this packet so versatile!

My youngest daughter moved to London in June and I rounded the family up for a quick photo shoot by a family friend before she left. We are not sure when she will be back so I am very grateful that we managed to get everyone together before she left.

My grand daughter wasn't 100% cooperative.. but what else can you expect from a 3 1/2 year old?! ;)

I layered some of the papers and then spattered some plain white cardstock (the weight of the CTMH cardstock has always been my favorite!) with some ink. The main title was cut with my Silhouette and then I added a sticker sentiment.

The stamped sentiment is from last years October SOTM. I added some stamped images from this years... Yep... available on October 1st - and it is another lovely set so be on the lookout for it and... you can get it for ONLY $6. (Thanks & Giving) I then added some of the Grateful Heart Cork Shapes

Now I 've said it before and I will say it again... you are going to NEED this Stitched Borders stamp set. I stamped a few stitched circles on the page as well as some messy stitched lines. Oh and those leaves... sneaking them in from the September SOTM - only available for one more day! I just tucked in some of the scraps from the previous projects along the edge for some interest .

I decided to create a couple of cards using the same basic layout and stamps bit with different looks.

This first one is more traditional fall colours using some papers from Your Next Stamp. I made her all cozy and indoors for this one. A bit of colouring and paper piecing. She is mounted on foam squares for dimension.

Next up, I used some Pinkfresh Studio papers (Be You) and went for a more non traditional fall look - I would wear this outfit :) Same basic things, although in this case she is outside. I mounted her on foam squares as well.

Next stop....Valerie!

No Tricks Just Treats

Real time blogging happening here ;) Can you tell I am loving this paper pack? Hello Pumpkin?! It is so adorable!

I decided to create a Halloween themed card using the September SOTM - yes I'm trying to convince you that you need it.... you do!

I layered bits and pieces of the Hello Pumpkin collection and Complements and added real stitching.

I then stamped and cut out the ghost from the Hello Pumpkin Scrapbooking stamp set.  He seemed like he should be holding something in his hands so I used the Just Treats SOTM to make him holding a hot chocolate and Halloween candy cane :) All is mounted on foam squares for dimension.

I then added an acrylic star from the Hello Pumpkin shapes and some sequins. As a final touch, I added some stamped stitching lines... this is going to become a well used stamp set! No changing threads on the sewing machine - not so easy to do with these old eyes ;)

No Tricks Just Treats - September SOTM

Hey, sneaking in with another project using the September SOTM - Just Treats... you need this stamp and it is only available for a couple more days!

I found these little kraft pillow boxes in my stash and decided to create a little treat box for Halloween... I know my grand daughter will love it.

To create the project I used the Hello Pumpkin Collection from CTMH along with a woodgrain blue paper from the Grateful Heart Collection as I thought it went well.

I stamped the sentiment from the Just Treats stamp set and then created a tag out of it and added stickers from the Hello Pumpkin complements and a strip of pattern paper sewn on.

To add some interest before tying on the tags, I used my Silhouette to cut out the web from some of the orange pattern paper in the Hello Pumpkin collection.  Finally, I added one of the acrylic Hello Pumpkin Shapes

So be sure to nab this fun set before September 30th.... think of all of the winter projects coming up where this will be handy... hot chocolate packages, coffee, tea.....
