Inspired By... Christmas Linens

The new Inspired By Challenge is up and being a Santa lover I was all over it :) I may even play again!

I decided to create some tags as I never seem to have enough and I just love adding home made touches to my packages when I can.

I used the Tis the Season collection. Which I then combined with some Vintage Santa printables. I LOVE a good vintage looking Santa like this guy, he is my absolute favorite. I believe I got them from Graphics Fairy.

I kept the same basic layout for all of the tags (makes it quicker that way) and layered 2 tags together - you know me... I love my layering. I tucked in some more Winter Flurries Snowflakes.  The Believe sentiment is from Simon Says.

For an added layer I included a couple of Elle's Studio tags and mounted the Santa on Foam circles.

Now pop on over and see what the rest of the DT have created... oh and come play!

Wiggly Believe card.

I played along with the Fab Friday sketch challenge and came up with this simple card with a twist... Santa wiggles ;)

I have used the Tis the Season pack once again.

The card is pretty simple. Just a couple of pattern paper layers and then added a tag (cut with the Artistry cartridge) and a stamped image from the Oh What Fun Cardmaking Stamp.  I also used the Winter Flurries die and added a few sequins.

Now here is the fun part....

Oh Christmas Tree card trio

Finally got time to play in my happy place again :) I decided to use up some of my Tis the Season scraps...

I decided to create 3 versions of basically the same card. In fact, this card, in larger scale will be my first Christmas art project with my grade ones. I do it as a non standard measurement activity then we add the doo dads to it.

First up, I wanted to create a simple card that my card club could do when they come over in December. I just tore strips of the pattern paper of varying lengths and adhered to the card. I then stamped some stitching lines in Candy Apple using the Stitched Borders stamp set. I then just added some pearls and a gold star from the Complements pack.  Finally, I added the Falala die cut.

Next up, the same basic process but I used actual stitching and I am determined to use up my button stash.... who am I kidding... that will never happen! LOL

For this last card, I used the Decorative Borders for the paper strips. Basically the same process but this time, I fluffed up the cuts for some interest.

Sketchy Saturday shaker card

Time for another Sketchy Saturday and this week I decided to create a shaker card.  I have used the Oh What Fun collection by CTMH - can't get enough of this one (must be the pink ;) )

I decided to create a shaker card - like looking outside on a snowy day. I used the Stitched Circle dies - just put a smaller one inside the larger one before die cutting to get a ring.  I then  filled with the Silver loose sequins. The snowflakes are, once again the Winter Flurries die

Check out this fun card from last week's entries. Thanks for playing along Karen :)

Now I would love to see your take on this week's sketch.

Inspired By... Christmas packages

The new Inspired By challenge is up and I love it. I would love my Christmas packages to look like that... with cedar tucked in.... one year hopefully ;)

I was pretty literal with my interpretation of the photo. I keep little boxes throughout the year that I feel would work well for gift giving.  I love to up cycle items and boxes are top on my list. This sturdy little one held a power pack. Normally I alter the boxes with festive, patterned paper but I really love the look of the kraft and white ones so I just used Kraft cardstock.

I cut panels and strips of the kraft cardstock to fit tops, sides and bottom of the box and just ran them through my Xyron and adhered. Easy peesy!

I then wrapped some twine and tied on a tag and little embellishment. The tag die and stamp are both from CTMH last year. I tucked in some greenery but when the time is closer I will switch this out for real cedar.

Here is the inspiration photo.... come on over and play.
