Have you read the books "The Book of Awesome" by Neil Pasricha? I read them when they first came out and I really wanted to create my own book of awesome - simple things that just make me happy, make my heart happy.
Anyways, the idea has been stirring for a few years and I am finally taking the plunge. I have been watching the 'travelers notebooks' style of memory keeping and the light bulb finally went on and I thought, "That is how I am going to do my book of awesome!"
I think we all need to take the time to just sit back, be mindful, and appreciate the simple things in this ever changing, fast paced world of ours.

What is Mindful Monday?
Well Mindfulness is being mindful of ourselves, how we are feeling
etc. Mindful Monday is a spin off
that. It is being mindful of daily
simple things that just make us happy.
This challenge is my take on the books “The Book of
Awesome”. I wanted to document what
little things are awesome to me.
If you ever say to yourself…. “that reminds me of my
grandmas….” “or “that just makes my heart happy” then you are on the right
track for Mindful Monday. I want you to
take the inspirational word, and really think about what simple thing makes you
happy. You can share it as a photo,
layout or traveler’s notebook page. That
is up to you. I just encourage you to
document/create your own ‘book of awesome’ that you and your family can treasure
for years to come. So if the word is
‘blue’ don’t just snap a photo of something blue and share it. Share about something blue that makes you
happy, really warms your soul…. And share the story. That is what the Mindful Monday challenge is.
