Blogoversary!!!

This will remain at the top until Jan 18th, so scroll down for new posts!!!

I can't believe it I started blogging a year ago! My first post was on Jan. 9th and well... the rest is history! I have definately become a better scrapper, card maker and paper crafter since I started blogging. So much wonderful inspiration out there! So not only am I having a Blogoversary, but I have been watching my hit counter and I wanted to have some blog candy when I reached 40,000 hits. Well I am pretty close! So I am combining both occasions for some great stuff! I have 3 'Valentine/ Love' themed stamps sets I am giving out.

To be eligible for the blog candy all you have to do is leave me a comment telling me what you love (and not your family since I am sure we all love that!), something we don't know about you. For instance I love 'quietness'... which is why I love to get up at 5:30am even on weekends, it is the only time I have that in my house! Then post a link on your blog telling others about it. That's all there is to it. Good luck.

Only one entry per person please. I will keep this post up until January 18th when I will randomly draw a lucky winner.

  1. Congratulations on your anniversary Laurel. I'm with you - since I've started following blogs I am so inspired by all the wonderful creations I see out there. And what do I love?...mmmmm....dark chocolate with a cup of coffee after dinner. Makes any day a good day!

  2. Happy Blogoversary!!Love your blog Laurel.
I love silence too, but don't sleep very well (I put my shoulder, [right and I'm right handed] and back out a couple of months ago) so I'm not willing to get up too early, as I try to get as much sleep as I can. What I do love is stretching. Weird, I know, and pretty painful sometimes if I overly stretch. However it can be refreshing and just the thing I need to get back to what I was doing.
Thanks for the chance to win.

What do I love? Blog surfing with a glass of wine once the children are fast asleep.

  4. I love when it snows at night. The snow sparkles in the moonlight and everything is quiet and still. Of course I am home and not going any place, that is the best.

  7. Congratulations on your Blogoversary! I guess it goes without saying that I love surfing wonderful blogs like yours to get inspired! Another thing I love is quite the opposite of you - I really love to sleep in on Saturday mornings! I have to get up early Monday-Friday for work and love the fact that on Saturdays I don't! Thanks for the opportunity to win some wonderful candy!

  8. Happy blog-versary! I've enjoyed following your blog & am inspired by your creations.

I LOVE taking my yellow Lab, Sophie (a touch therapy trained dog), to visit the veterans at our nearby VA buildings and watching their smiles appear as they pet her.

  9. Right now, I am loving Crystal Light Peach Tea. I'm on a weight-loss journey (currently down 30 pounds), and this tea has helped fill me up. (I also love your blog--you are so talented!)

  10. Congratulations on your Blogoversary. I love coming home on a Friday after work and not having to leave again until Monday morning to go to work. I just love being home and making cards is a bonus. I watch your blog every day and always like to see new things.

  11. So glad to have come across your blog. I'll put a link on my site to here. Your cards are gorgeous and I'll be back often to see what you're up to. One of my fave things is...snuggling up with my golden retriever. When I'm feeling stressed, tired, out of sorts, just plain blah...I spend a few minutes snuggling and talking with her and scratching her head as she licks my face and it always makes me smile.

  12. I love your blog your creativity blows me away. I am married and have a wonderful 10 year old almost 11 year old daughter and when things get rough which they often do i just love to lay on my bed and read but the other day. I was pondering on my upcoming birthday and which is today the 12 by chance and i spent an hour in my room listening to Rock n Roll from the 80's on my ipod it was so refresthing to sit there in solitude and reflect on my youth. We all need to feel young and that was truly a great hour. Congrats on your anniversary.

What I am loving right now is nap time. Because that's the only time a mother of a 13-month old can get anything done...:-)

  14. Laurel,

Congrats on one year! I love the stuff you make...and I love that you manage to get so many different challenges done with kids at home! But, what I really love is time alone..with silence...in my house...with no one asking for anything! Complete and utter solitude is what I would love right now! Keep up the great art.

  20. Hi Laurel! Happy Blogiversary! How exciting is that? I came across your blog while doing a search for "Cupcake Sprinkles" as I just got mine yesterday and looking to see what others have done with it. I am glad I found your blog and look fwd to seeing what else you create! Lots of talent here!!

Hmm, what do I love? Gosh, so hard to choose! One of the things I love is the smell of clean laundry in the air. I know, sounds crazy, lol, but when I'm walking to the bus stop to get the kids and I smell that fresh 'bounce' smell, I just love it!

    Good luck to everyone!!!

    keep up the great work.
What I Love is my 3 cats, they are like my children.
They are always there to greet me when I get home
from a stressful day at work and they help me to
relax or I could do a bit
of stamping and that will do the same thing. lol
I the moment I don't have a blog, I'm thinking of maybe starting one but not
sure if i'll get lots of hits, blogging seems like a
    lot of work.
