Yesterday was mine and hubby's 17th anniversary, wow! We went out for dinner and had a nice time. We don't usually get each other too many gifts but he surprised me with an Ipod! Problem I never, I mean never watch TV and the only time I hear music is when I drive in my van. I have 22 songs downloaded, whoopie! But I don't even know where to begin. I don't know a lot of new songs, which is why I am posting this. I am hoping you gals (and guys?) can come up with some good ideas for me. My absolute favorite music is: Country but I do like other music as well, let's see what good ideas you have for me. Thank you!
Happy Anniversary!!
ReplyDeleteI have an iPod too and have hundreds of songs on it! I totally loves the 80's so many of them are 80's tunes. As for Country, I downloaded some Trace Adkins the other day! Nice songs! Of course Carrie Underwood, can't go wrong there!!!
My absolute favorite right now is Daughtry. Chris Daughtry has just launched his sophomre album. I LOVE every song on it. He's got a couple on there that kind of have a country sound. One is Tennessee Line with Vince Gill doing backup. The name of his album is Leave this Town. Other than that, my dial is set to the 80's channel on Sirius. Hope it helps. Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Kim xXx
What a great gift!! Do you have Rascal Flatts "Mayberry" on there? That song reminds me of the simplicity of life.
ReplyDeleteI was just like you - never watch TV, only listened to music in the car, and liked 'quiet.' Then about a year and a half ago, I got an iPod Touch - and I LOVE it! Have a speaker dock and listen to it all day at work, at home while stamping, and customers really like to listen to the music during workshops.
ReplyDeleteMy suggestion is to find all the CDs that you may have around the house and 'rip' them to your computer and iTunes. My husband had a lot of "oldies" CDs and I started by just putting everything on my iPod. :)
Have fun with your new toy. BTW, it's also great to put in your earbuds and listen to some fun songs while taking a nice walk in the evenings.
Fabulous projects, Laurel! Congrats on the Hero Arts feature, too! Whoo hooo!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting some of those home chores done and you canned peaches?? Wowzers!
Lovely gift from your hubby. I have an mp3 player that i haven't done a thing with. I need to burn some CDs I think for when I start walking...anyway...Brad Paisley...anything by him. I got his newest album American Saturday Night and I don't think there is a song on it that I don't like. My girls and I are enjoying Taylor Swift's new song, I think it's called You Belong With Me. Trace Adkins...can't go wrong with him.
Hope this helps!
i agree trace adkins is the best :D
ReplyDeleteAwesome gift. What a great man!! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteAnything from the 50's or 80's works for me! I love, love, LOVE my Ipod!!!
ReplyDeleteI am a country fan for a long time now. I really like Julianne Hough, Sugarland, Trace Adkins and Toby Keith for sure. I used to purchase a new CD every 2 weeks so I have quite a collection BUT unemployment put a stop to that, but not to the listening part...have fun with your new toy and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!
ReplyDeleteIona
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trust me I am the last one to give advice about music....major zero here!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a great anniversary! Have fun with your Ipod. I'm kindof the same way you are...I still don't have alot of music downloaded on mine and I've had it a couple years already.
ReplyDeleteHow about Coldplay...not at all country though ha ha. Have fun with the iPod!
ReplyDeleteWow Laurel! Yet another connection ... first, we have the BC thing - I lived in Victoria til I was 15, then we both have daughters named Danica, we are both CTMH'rs and are drawn to the same PTI images, and now our anniversaries - mine is the 23rd, yours the 22nd. And finally, you're so talented, and I wish I was! LOL Ahhh have fun with the Ipod - add some Jack Johnson for chillaxin' and don't forget Kid Rock's All Summer Long and Sweet Home Alabama, oh and Darius Rucker (formerly of Hootie and the Blowfish) is climbing the charts!
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary!
