That sure makes a person feel special and I appreciate each and every one of you who visit my blog, it is why I do what I do. You keep me going and challenge me to try new things! On top of that, some of you may know that I am on a mission to lose aobut 40 pounds (I have a blog dedicated to it here, and I did a journal about it here). I am happy to say that I am just about half way there (18 pounds!) So in honor of everything I have this blog candy up for grabs. Lots of goodies to be had. The picture is not the best but trust me, lots of good stuff!

Hey Laurel kudos on the weight loss and being so popular here in blogland! I absolutely love all your posts!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...something big huh??? Well, I too am trying to lose weight although I'm shooting to lose a total of about 110 lbs. My feel good moment was the week before last when I hit my first weight loss goal of 5% of my weight. I'm doing Weight Watchers and in the 7 weeks I've been on it I've lost a little over 15 lbs. Each weigh-in has been a feel good moment! :) Keep up the good work with your weight loss and definitely keep posting all your amazing crafts!!!
Hey You...congrats on everything and especially the weight loss...that's absolutely fabulous sista...
ReplyDeleteBig moments...hmmm... I'm a late bloomer and graduated from the University of Washington in 2006 :)
fabbie blog candy girlie!!!
Congratulations on the goal going! Oh lets see a big moment.. Must say has to be when I was being interviewed at the bank I worked at for a job in the security department...It was a total long shot but I did get offered the job but was told by an insider that if they were me not to take it. For some reason I decided to not answer till the following day, I guess more that I was going to go home and talk it over with my husband, so anyway, that next day I found out that baically by not transfering my department I saved my job because the bank had gone through an unannounced buy out and the entire security department was let go at closing time the night before!
ReplyDeleteWhew what a big moment cause from then on I just felt that I was sick to my stomach for weeks. In the end it turned out that I was 5 months pregnant! Yep still had my monthly visits and all. No sign till baby flipped! I gain 1 1/2 pounds total!
Totally big moment!
Thanks for a chance at the awesome candy!

Hi Laurel - it's fun to follow your blog! Thanks for some great ideas! Posted a link to your blog - check...
ReplyDeleteOK - biggest moment...here goes - creatively speaking is probably when I won 2nd place for an original design card, My Screen Door Card, in Country Woman Magazine's Craft Bazaar last year 2008. The {{{best}}} part was that I won $350 and what did I buy? Copic Markers! I was so excited, but that was doubled when just this year I was a full page spread {{{feature}}} article. You'll have to see my blog to see the article - http://michellesinkyfingers.blogspot.com!!! I was so very honored!!!
Of course the other big moments in my life, my wedding, the birth our our 4 children - and the compliments I receive all the time at what great kids they are!
Thanks,
Michelle Polizzi
Congratulations! Those are both great milestones! Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteOne of the biggest moments in my life was when I was a kid I got to move to Florida and live with my Mom. It's a long story but it was amazing!

Something that makes me feel good....hmmmm Starting this blog is a big thing for me, and all the people I have met and the CONSTANT encouragement and kind comments I get about my artwork (esp as I am so new to this). It makes crafting SO much fun. Receiving wonderful RAK from such wonderful people like YOU!!!!
BUT the best thing for me this year has to be when we found out that hubby had got another job! THAT was a BIG relief... We are so blessed.
Great Candy Laurel.
Congrats on the weight loss, Laurel! :D One my big moments was becoming a teacher, something I've never regretted doing.

ReplyDeleteHey! I love this candy! Well my big moments are definitely the birth of my kids too. I felt so proud of myself that not only did I carry them, but I birthed them- all without killing my husband. Though it was trying at times, we both made it. :)
ReplyDeleteI also had a really happy moment when someone from Harper Collins Publishing found my blog, emailed me, sent me free books, and told me they loved my writing and basically encouraged me to turn it into a book, which I was already doing- but yeah, the boost helped. :)

OMG ALSO CONGRATS ON YOUR JOURNEY!!! Sweet!! Keep on going!
ReplyDeleteI am going to sign up for your blog and also put you on my sidebar. I have heard so much about you and your work and have looked at it many times. I don't know how to link but I will shout it to the world! Let me think - big moments, the birth of my girls, the birth of my grandbabies and being in the delivery room with the last one were big moments. My wedding day was a big moment. My weight loss was a big moment - now if I could just finish it off with the last 20 I would be thrilled!
ReplyDeleteI've had lots of big moments (and I'm grateful) but one especially that has to do with card marking was making valentines for a priest friend to give to some residents at a health care facility (he always calls them his sweethearts), and one lady in particular hadn't spoken to anyone for a very very long time, but when presented with this valentine, she said thank you, and the priest and several people standing by were amazed. They weren't sure she could talk! Now that says something about how touched people can be by something as simple as a card!
ReplyDeleteI'll list this on my sidebar Here
Congrats on meeting your big moments! I've enjoyed following your blog and thanks for sharing your great talent. My big moment? Hmmm... of course getting married, kids being born, blah blah blah... but one of my biggest moments was finding scrapbooking as something I do for ME. I had that "aha" moment when I discovered CTMH and then the community that came with it. I've had a blast with it. Well here's to another 100,000 hits!
ReplyDeleteYou sure do have a lot going for you right now! I know how you feel on the weight loss, it has been a difficult journey for me...I have about 20-25 more pounds to lose myself. A big moment for me...I think the biggest moment for me so far in my life is not something I have accomplished (and I feel I have accomplished a good bit), but meeting and marrying the love of my life. :) Yep, I'm a big ole sap! Will post about candy on FB right now.
ReplyDeleteLaurel, congrats on the huge amount of hits and followers, but ESPECIALLY on being halfway to your weight goal! that's wonderful!
ReplyDeletei'm on a mission to get to the gym three times a week or more, so i'm hoping to achieve similar results!

ReplyDeleteLike most of us, I have had many "big moments" in my life. Getting married 30 years ago, having a beautiful daughter, and most recent getting through one year of chemo-therapy. That is one of the hardest things, but I made it. That was a big moment when I knew that I wouldn't be in "my chair" at the hospital next Wednesday, after four months of chemo every week and then eight months of chemo every other week. My daughter had a big surprise party for me and there were around 25 family and friends to help celebrate.
I have bookmarked your blog and will be a follower. Thanks for the chance to win this blog candy.
Take care,
Rebecca
