So I started out with this sketch from The Scrappiest:
I kind of morphed it, but the basics are still there. My mom just showed me this photo of me and my Great Grandfathers back in 1969 (I was 2), LOVE seeing photos like this. So I scanned it and the writing that was on the back and of course the Circa 1934 papers from Cosmo Cricket were perfect. I got a package of these doilies for about 50 cents at a thrift store!
it is a wonderful lay out!
ReplyDeletesuch a lovely piece. Love the colourful vintage layout! :) perfect with the pic :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous layout, Laurel! I adore all the details, especially the photo with the writing captured. The colors are perfect for the vintage feel and how awesome you scored some doilies at the thrift store.
ReplyDeleteI see them from time to time but I always think, I can make them, so I don't get them. Hmmmmm...I haven't made any for cards, maybe I should re-think that, huh? LOL It looks so lovely on your layout.
Have a wonderful day!
Wonderful! This is such a well put together layout!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. What a priceless photo.
ReplyDeleteThis is all good - that PP is perfect for this type of pic!
ReplyDeleteLaurel,
ReplyDeleteThis layout is amazing! I love the details - the writing from the back of the photo - the vintage look of the papers are great with the photo, too. My grandmom had throw pillows just like the ones on the back of that sofa. Isn't that cool!?!
Hugs!
