I have really been struggling with my mojo lately. I think it is because it is so gloomy outside and I have report cards in the back of my mind. I think I should just get the report cards done so that I can concentrate on the fun stuff!
The challenge this week at the Cricut Circle blog is a sketch challenge:
I decided to play along and I wanted to scrap this photo of my dad. Everything from The Boyfriend paper by Cosmo Cricket just works and sums up my dad quite well! I used my Plantin Schoolbook cartridge to cut out the circle and the Nifty Fifties to cut out the record. I also did this for The Paper Variety challenge - inspired by a movie - mine is Rebel Without a Cause
This looks great! I really love it.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the report cards and I hope you have a fabulous end of the year! Only 14 days left for us - not that I'm counting or anything :) (I'm an elem library media specialist.)
I think you've scrapped this photo of your dad beautifully! :)
ReplyDeleteP/s: I've not been feeling extremely creative of late too...it's been really hot and humid where I live.
I really like this sketch layout by Jana that you have used. So you've still got mojo! just a little stress or blues because of weather and end of the year pressures.
ReplyDeleteNO way that you are struggling with your mojo...you always post more time at one day..even more than me in one week...lol...and this is a great lo,...do not doubt about yourself!
ReplyDeletethis is seriously awesome, laurel:)
ReplyDeleteStunning! Love the details and the way you placed the photo. Colours are so beautiful too! Good work. I am struggling too...report time too and VERy cold outside..I just want to crawl into bed every night and keep warm. LOL!

ReplyDeleteFabulous layout, Laurel. The picture is terrific and I love the journaling. Very well done.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, it's report card time again. The girls have today off from school...and they are finished on May 26th. I think it's so they can finish up data entry for the year. Good luck getting yours done! I vote for dig in, get em done and enjoy the rest of the year somewhat stress free. *Ü*
Love this...great pic and such a fun layout! It's been gloomy and rainy here too:(
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding? I wish I could create like that without my mojo. You rock! I LOOOOOOOOVE this layout. There is something so cool about seeing old family photos on fun papers.
