I not only have been lacking in the mojo lately I have not had much play time in the scrap room. Today I decided to take some time to myself and just create.
Well nothing like a little Echo Park to get the mojo on (this is my second post for today... my first one uses Echo Park Little Boy papers, here)! I won this Splash paper and just love it. The bright happy patterns and colors just scream summer fun! There has not been an Echo Park line that I have not been in awe over and I have purchased every pack (some in dig as well from Jessica Sprague). Each time I think it is my absolute favorite pack but every pack just gets better and better! I love how easily every thing just falls into place for me when I use Echo Park papers.
First up is my take on the Twisted Sketches - the twist being Summer.
All papers are from the Splash package. I have cut the cloud from one of the journaling cards, rounded the corner on another journaling card, and cut the border strips from the border strip pattern paper. Most of the stickers are included in the paper pack, (love how many stickers come in a pack) a sprinkle of twine from the Twinery and a couple of stickers from SRM Stickers and it is done!
Now for a cute little card for a student in my class. I cut pieces of pattern paper and layered them then topped them with a journal card, and of course some stitching. The Octopus is an image from Whimsie Doodles that I have layered and pop dotted for dimension. The talking bubble is from Shabby Chic Crafts and the sentiment is Paper Smooches. I cut the little fish from some of the pattern paper. The pom pom is made with some Twinery twine.
Finally, I decided to play along in the CAS-ual Friday challenge:
I was inspired by this sketch by Jen at Deconstructing Jen:
I used this weeks colors from Anabelle Stamps:
And of course some of the scraps from the layout I did above and the one using the Splash line that I posted here. A few strips of paper, some sewing, some stickers all make for a quick and easy card! The sentiment is from SRM Stickers and the twine is from The Twinery.
Super fun and oh soooo cute! Thanks for playing with us at CAS-ual Fridays!
