An Echo Park Halloween

Well here we go.  I have been seeing a lot of Halloween stuff being posted around blogland so I thought that I would hop on the band wagon too!  What better way than first to dig out some of my Echo Park Happy Halloween papers and since I love the newsprint background from For the Record I used it too.  I have used it for everything from Spring to Fall and Back to school which you can see here, here and here.

Ok, on to today's projects, lots of photos today.  First off I decided to decorate some of the wooden blocks that my dad gave to me.  First I painted them black then covered them with the Newsprint paper. I used my Cricut to cut out the circles, letters and the bat.  Tie with some ribbon and twine and all done.  Easy Peesy!  Love how the For the Record newsprint is such a fabulous background for so many things, it really makes the colors of the Happy Halloween pop.

Once again the same papers for a quick and easy card.  The sentiment is an Echo Park sticker, I only added the gems.  The stamp is from Papertrey Ink, I stamped it on the For the Record newsprint then paper pieced parts of it.  A bit of sewing, love the texture sewing adds.

Now this card was actually made with some of the Happy Halloween packaging.  The striped paper, is actually the packaging paper that shows what is inside the kit!  Talk about easy!  I just added a Happy Halloween journal tag, some stickers a bit of twine and done, minutes!

Now the For the Record Newsprint works well with the Apothecary collection too!  This was made with some of the Happy Halloween graveyard paper, and a label from Apothecary.  A great little box, the template is the Lifesaver box from The Cutting Cafe.  The bat is cut with the Cricut.

Here is a real simple project I did.  I just covered a piece of mat board with some of the Newsprint paper then cut out some bats from the Apothecary papers with my Slice Spook Alley card, used some Glue dots to hold them down then framed them.  Another quick and easy home decor project.

Here is a tag using the Apothecary Papers and a journal tag.  I added a bit of tape an SRM Sticker and Twinery twine and another quick and easy project.  Can you tell I have been having fun the past few days!

And a simple banner using the Apothecary papers some of the paper is from the Apothecary digital papers that came out last year (available at Jessica Sprague).  I know rosettes have been around for a bit now, but I only have just started making them, not sure why they are kind of fun!  The pennants are cut with a Papertrey Ink die and the letters and circles are cut with the Cricut.

Now it is also my day over at Scrap-Mart and I have used the Echo Park Apothecary papers for a couple more little treat boxes.  Here is a sneak peek.  For more info you will have to head over to the Scrap-Mart blog

Now believe it or not, I was never really a Halloween girl.  But the last couple of years I have really gotten into making things for it.  I especially love the packaging and Home Decor pieces that can be done.  I think it is because I need an excuse to play with such fabulous products like the Happy Halloween and Apothecary papers!  I LOVE Apothecary, I purchased all the digital items last year and just received the paper pack in the mail the other day. LOVE it!
