Fall Blocks

Another challenge is up at Ribbon Carousel.  This week it is Anything Goes, easy huh?

I was inspired by this challenge at Cupcake Inspirations:

And this is also another entry into the CR84FN challenge:

For my project I upcycled some scrap wooden blocks that my dad gave to me awhile ago.  He is a woodworker and has a lot of scraps laying around so I asked him if he could cut and sand some for me one day.  He showed up with a huge box full!  Which makes this also fit the City Crafter challenge - 3D

I used my new Farmhouse paper from Crate Paper, I am really loving Crate Paper lately!  I used my Slice Fall and Back to School cartridge to cut out the letters and leaves.  The buttons are from PTI and the burlap is just some scrap that I had laying around.  Once the blocks had been painted I made my paper panels (sewed, etc) and then adhered them to the blocks.  I then wrapped the blocks with some May Arts Jute ribbon and some Jute twine.  I also used the Jute Twine in the buttons.

The 4 blocks:

Some close ups

Don't forget Ribbon Carousel now has Ribbon Kits and look at this yummy kit for October!
