I was asked to create Halloween projects so I didn't even think twice about what paper I was going to use... I had to use my Echo Park Apothecary Papers, LOVE these papers! I did some upcycling as well as created some new items for today's post. So lets see what there is.
Here are my treat boxes all together.
First up is the coffin. I cut the Skulls & Bones paper using my Cricut Happy Hauntings cartridge. I assembled it using some Glue Dots and Glue Strips. Before assembling, I decorated the front by punching strips of black cardstock with my web border punch, some Black Magic paper and a sticker. Of course some twine from The Twinery has been wrapped around and adhered in a few areas using some Glue Dots. This is for hubby for Halloween. I have filled it with some Hershey kisses (a close up is below).
Next up is an upcycled chocolate box. I took out the cellophane window and replaced it with some Spiders Webs paper, which has been adhered with Glue Strips. I then stamped a Unity journal tag and sentiment, cut out and adhered. The spider has been cut using my Chic and Scary Cricut cartridge. Once again all items have been adhered with Glue Dots. Once again I wrapped some Charcoal Twine around the box and I tied some Mandarin twine in the button before adhering. This is for Jaimee for Halloween (she hates spiders so I just had to, hehehe).
A close up of the spider
Finally, an upcycled iPod case. I made the decorative paper covering and sewed the items then I just adhered to the top of the case using my Glue Dots. Once again some Charcoal and Mandarin twine have been wrapped around the box. This one is for Danica... she is 13, and quite 'attitudey' so kind of full of her own poison, hehehe.
Now for a closeup of the kisses. I just punched out the circles from my scraps with a circle punch and adhere with a Glue Dot, how easy is that!
Now at our school, we often have a I've Been Booed prank go around, (that someone ;) starts...hehehe) so I am prepared. I upcycled a brown lunch bag and some tissue paper that came in my PTI stamp order. A quick and easy bag. Love that. Once again some Mandarin and Charcoal twine. The spider and web were cut with my Chic & Scary Cricut cartridge and this project is for the Cricut Circle Challenge - Feeling Gifty. Don't forget about the Lessology Doggie Bag Challenge - it ends very soon!
Now for a card. I have used more of the Apothecary Papers along with a Bingo Card from Pretty Little Studio. I wrapped the card with some Charcoal twine before adhering the label and the stamped image.
I have really enjoyed being a Guest at the Twinery, please head on over to leave some love for me! These projects went together so easily and I had so much fun making them. Can't wait to give them away.
