Teresa Collins Altered art - Family Frame

I have had a great weekend hanging out with the family and playing in my scraproom this weekend.  I have been busy making some Christmas Decor.  I LOVE the new Teresa Collins Christmas Home collection

First I picked this up at a garage sale for about 10 cents! Couldn't pass it up ;)

With some paper, ribbon and twine it looks much better don't you think? I used some May Arts Red V Striped Twill which is available at Ribbon Carousel (don't forget the last day to get your 10% discount: VETERAN10).  I tied the bells on with some Charcoal twine from The Twinery.  The little cones are ones I collected while on a walk one day.  Finally a bit of Martha Stewart coarse glitter as well.

 A couple of close ups:

Now this project I really love.  I altered a 7 Gypsies tray with more of the paper.  This time I used the Black V Striped twill along with the Charcoal twine from The Twinery.  I have also used some stickers from SRM stickers.  Finally, in order to make this last all year.  I adhered the seasonal items (eg. holly and such) with the Removeable Glue Dots, and then can add things from other seasons.

  5. What a transformation on the first project, Laurel! Wow! I know I never would have thought to do this with it in its original state. That tray is outstanding, too! Love the photos and the bits and pieces you added to it. Neat how you can change out the holly to other seasonal items. Fabulous!
