Gingerbread Collection Gift

It is my day over at the Scrap-Shotz Forum.  My card challenge is to make a Holiday Card with non-traditional colors.  So I used my Gingerbread Land Collection from Nikki Sivils.

I used this sketch from Unscripted Sketches:

I made the card to go along with a gift I am really proud of.  I got this wire basket and the wooden rolling pin at a garage sale for about $1 each.  I knew what I wanted to do with the rolling pin, but didn't know the papers until I got my Gingerbread Land Collection then I knew.  I have made a Gingerbread Themed Gift Basket.  First, I painted the rolling pin a nice dark brown, covered it with the Pattern Paper using my Xyron, wrapped it with twine and attached the tag and cookie cutter.  I made a 'Gingerbread Cookie Mix in a Jar' only I put it in a bag, tied it with twine and added a Gingerbread tag from the collection.  Inside the oven mitt is some White Icing and colored sprinkles for decorating the gingerbread cookies.  It is tied with ribbon which is Pink V Striped Twill from May Arts, available at Ribbon Carousel.  The Twine, that I have wrapped around everything is of course Cappuccino twine from The Twinery.

A close up of some of the details.

I love how this all came together!
