This is my second post for today. For my TSG and SFYTT post see here.
I was busy today! I did my spinning, had a visit with my mom and then I went to play in my craft room for a bit. Hubby and my oldest are out of town this weekend and my youngest slept in then went off with her friends so I had most of the day to myself.
I played along with a lot of challenges so this is a photo heavy post! First of all the challenge at Mark's Finest Papers is Mother's Day and I made a notecard set for my mom. This month the Glue Dots® designers were asked to make Mother's Day projects so this was a perfect time to get to work on it!
For my project I used the new Curio Papers and Stickers from Carina Gardner, which are available at Jessica Sprague.
I printed out 4 different papers and some of the stickers and went to work. I made 4 cards and unfortunately at this time in her life my mom is needing more sympathy cards than before so I included a couple of them. The Vintage Seam Binding is available at Ribbon Carousel. All the stamps are from Unity.
Here are the four cards all together. For all the cards I used a few Glue Dots® to hold the papers in place before sewing. Each card also has an item popped up on Pop Up Glue Dots® for some dimension. Finally, to hold the bits of floss and twine in place I have used some Mini Glue Dots®.
For this first card I used a sketch from The Sweet Stop:
The sentiment on this one is from the March 2012 KOTM (from head to soul)
I used the sketch from Sketchbook Saturday:
The stamp is from the Life Becoming set:
Next I used the JUGS challenge:
The sentiment is from the Jan 2011 KOTM to the moon and back.
Finally, I used the Unity KOTM sketch challenge:
The sentiment is from the May KOTM Think Happy Thoughts. This one is also for the 365 Cards challenge - So Sorry.
