Accordian Mini Album Tutorial.

I have a tutorial for you today.  I have an Accordion Flip Album that is so fun and easy to create and has a lot of space for photos and journaling.

I have used a kraft base for this but you could just as easily use some 2 sided pattern paper.

First trim your paper to 12 X 11 1/2" and score it at 4" and 8" on the longer side.

Turn the paper and score at 6"

You will then have a piece of paper with 6 scored boxes.  Cut along the top half of the paper (the 5 1/2" side not the 6" side) on the 4 and 8" score lines stopping at the center.  You will then have three flaps.  The first and last one are folded forward and the middle is folded back.

The flaps will be shorter than the base but this allows for a decorative border to be added, but also will allow the album to be an interactive one and remind the reader to lift the flaps.

Now go ahead and decorate the panels as desired.  I will use some panels for photos and some for the journaling.  I created this with my teen daughter in mind, and since she takes a lot of photos of herself and friends, I know it will be filled easily!

I have used the Foiled Elegance collecton by DCWV for the kraft base and the pattern papers are from the Coral and Navy Stack by DCWV.  I then accented the pages with Silhouette cuts and Unity Stamped images.

The Xyron Mega Runner is very handy for adhering the paper to the album base.  So quick, so easy and it adheres so well.

For the smaller pieces, such as in my paper piecing I used my Xyron 150.

I also did some fussy cutting of images from the pattern paper to add some interest to the pages.

This was such a fun and easy project, I hope that you give it a try!
