Teachers Touch the Future

I had an enjoyable day here at home by myself.  Now there are a lot of things I could should have been doing but I chose to play in my scrap room as much as I could.  I used the Something Wonderful collection by Teresa Collins to create a school themed card.  Quite appropriate right now, we should have started school on September 2, but we are still in a labor dispute with the government with no end in sight for the near future :(

I used my Silhouette and a Kerri Bradford to cut out the letter background, the apple is a Silhouette cut, the stickers are of course SRM Stickers and the 'teacher' is a PTI die.

I am playing along with a few challenges.

sorry about the struggle with school. We need teachers so much! What a different they make and its hard when they aren't appreciated. but also hard when our kids can't go to school to learn! (Cause, i tell you what, Im not teaching them at home ;)

    good luck!

  5. Amazing card, Laurel. Lots of great layers with the abs, the tag, the apple and the sentiment. You know how much I like your sewing and the texture it adds. Excellent.

I'm so sorry to hear of the labor dispute. I hope it gets resolved quickly for everyone involved. Best of luck. Teachers are precious people who take care of our precious young people.

  7. Fabulous card! Great collage form. I think it's always a good thing when you do some "wants" instead of "shoulds". Prayers for the school situation to be resolved soon. Thanks for playing at Cupcake Inspirations! Nance, DT
