Snow Day Holiday cards

We had my staff party here last night and it was a lot of fun!  I am mostly caught up around here, report cards are done and christmas decorations are out so I decided to play a bit this morning after cleaning up.

I pulled out some of my new stuff.  The Snow Day by Lawn Fawn and some new dies from MFT - all available at Simon Says!

First up a simple card using the Mitten die and a PTI stamp.  I added some die cut felt and stitched it on.

Next I just had to get this cup die, I will use it a lot!  I have a hard time with plain backgrounds :)  So I punched out some snowflakes and added stitching.

Playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches:

Both cards are for the Color Throwdown challenge:

As well as the As You See it Challenge:

  10. Such fun cards, Laurel! I seriously love what you did with the stitching on these. Love the stitched line right below the sentiment on the first. That is such a great way to anchor the greeting. And really love the stitched loopy-loos on the second card, too. All the snowflakes are fabulous, also, and I am smitten with the mittens! haha
