The rules are pretty simple.... create any paper crafted item that the inspiration photo inspires.
So here goes.... my first Inspiration Challenge for this year, I hope that you play along because since it is my first.... I do have a little prize up for grabs.....
$25 Gift Certificate to Reverse Confetti!
(to be eligible for the prize, the graphic must be included in your post and linked back to this challenge please)
We are in the middle of winter here and I must admit our weather is pretty mild compared to the rest of the country so this inspiration is pretty fitting.
How does it inspire you?
colors, cookies, winter, embossing, patterns, snowman.....
So many options.
I went with the colors and the theme of winter and used some Reverse Confetti goodies to create a card. I first die cut some squares using the Scallop Squares die, inked the edges of them and the card base with some white ink. I then mounted the squares on foam tape for some dimension. Next I added the die cut snowflakes from the Snowflake Trio.
To create the mittens, I used the Smitten Mitten die and added stitching for interest. They too are mounted on foam squares. Next I stamped and cut apart a sentiment from the Seasonal Sentiment stamp set (I'm kinda liking the look of the cut sentiments lately). Finally, to carry out the theme, I added a die cut sentiment from my Silhouette.
I can't wait to see what you create! You have until next Wednesday. Have fun and good luck! If you do post on social media please tag me #inspiredbylaurel so I can find you :)
