I decided to go with the playing in the rain theme of the photo and I used the Bright Side collection by Fancy Pants to scrap these fun pictures of my grand daughter who loves to head out for adventures in the bush every Saturday when we look after her.
I used my Silhouette to cut out the clouds and then of course stitched them on.
I hung the umbrella from the sentiment then stitched them on.
That talking bubble in the collection was perfect for documenting what she said when I tried to get out of the walk that rainy day. I mounted it on foam squares.
So here is the inspiration photo... fun isn't it?! Now hop on over to the Inspired By blog to see the amazing creations of the design team and of course to play along.

This is super cute! I remember Cassidy LOVING to splash in the rain! As long as they have boots and a raincoat, let 'em at it! Great scrapbooking opportunities!
ReplyDelete♥ THIS. So, so awesome Laurel!
ReplyDeleteawesome Website post good work
ReplyDeleteFantastic layout, Laurel. I adore all the stitching you have done here. So much great texture. I also like how you highlighted one of the photos and the quote of what she said. Kaiah is a pistol, that is for sure. So neat that you are capturing a lot of the fun things she does and says. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the balance of the rain theme elements (clouds, umbrella, rain boots) with the nature/outdoor ones (wood print, green stripes, etc.)! Great approach!
ReplyDeleteA girl with a sense of adventure, LOVE it. Fantastic layout!
