Sweetybella Friends

Another sketch down, now I can scrapbook! LOL! Here is Jen's sketch: Here is my card. I used my Cricut Cartridge Mini Monograms to cut out the scallop circle and the word friends. You can't see it very well in the pic but the image is on foam squares, there are rhinestones on the bella pants, necklace, some bags and as a dot for the 'i'. The ice cream cones have been liquid glassed.
Stamp: Sweetybellas (Stampingbella)
Paper: Magic Moments level 2 (CTMH)
Embellishments: Hollyhock twill and buttons (CTMH), flowers (unknown), gems (unknown)

Monkey Mike Happy Birthday

I found another sketch challenge on the MFT section of SCS. Here is the sketch:
Here is my card. It is also for the OCC challenge to make a birthday card and would also qualify for the Verve challenge this week - I pulled out my dusty DP that I have had forever and hardly use! I made this for one of the kids in my grade one class this year so I kept it simple (no sewing - wow!). The Palm Tree, cupcake and sentiment tag are on foam squares. I colored it in with my copics. Stamps: Monkey Mike and Palm Tree (High Hopes); Cupcake (Inkadinkadoo); Sentiment (Hero Arts)
Paper: CTMH
Ribbon and safety pin: Outdoor Denim - CTMH

Snow card

I used Beate's sketch again. I love the Notebook paper, can't stop using it! I also love how versatile the Novermber SOTM is. The letters and the snowman head are on foam squares as is the sentiment tag. It is hard to tell in the picture (I must get better at taking pics of cards and layouts), but I used liquid glass to adhere 3 little bells to the snowmans hat, the letters are covered in liquid glass and a bit of prisma glitter. I shaded the snowman's face with my copics. All supplies are CTMH except the bells, tag, copics and bracket sizzix.

This is also my card for the Meet the Verve Diva's Challenge #8. Michelle's challenge was to use some dusty supply that we just had to have, but haven't used yet or in awhile. I bought these little bells awhile ago and hadn't used them yet, and the circle metal tag was bought from Staples a long time ago and I haven't used them in awhile.

Stamps: All Decked Out (November SOTM); Boutique Alphabet; Winter Wonder
Papers: Notebook; Aspen (paper piecing)
Embellishments: bulk colonial white ribbon, bells, tag, pin

Dance as if no one is watching

I managed to squeeze in a card before starting my crazy day. I used Beate's sketch: Here is my card. I am loving Fabby! Ever since seeing Hope's card I have wanted to do this with Fabby. I wanted it to look like she was just dancing all over the place and having fun! The center Fabby is on foam squares.
Stamps: Fabby (Stampingbella); Sentiment (Verve - Beautiful You)
Papers: CTMH
Ribbon: CTMH black ribbon rounds

Laughs - TECC31

Taylor has another great Cupcake sketch challenge: Here is my card. I looked through all my stamp sets but no teeny cupcake stamps - I wanted to put cupcakes in the Bellas hands. If anyone knows of a cupcake stamp set that has a tiny cupcake I would love to know which one it is - I so NEED it! LOL! I also need the card scent Cappuccino from All that Scraps!

I used so much new stuff from CTMH on this card! I received an order today so I had to play! All supplies are CTMH except the Bella stamp and SU! punch (I so need the other size of punch too!) I used rub ons to make the scallop border on the image and the little tag on the bottom. The sentiment is on foam squares.
Paper: Magic Moments level 2
Stamp: Javabellas
Embellishments: Hollyhock twill ribbon, hollyhock clips, Rub Ons - all CTMH

Cowboy

Lauren M has a weekly sketch on her blog. Here is her sketch: Here is what I came up with. I love the Sarsparilla paper from CTMH but I wondered when I would ever use the Cowboy word paper that is in the pack. Well, Eulanda sent me so many images and this cute little Riley was one of them. He fit perfectly with the paper. Now I didn't have any copics in 'barn red' to match so I made my own. I colored first with Carmine then over with Sepia (on shirt and hat) - kinda works don't you think? The sentiment circle is on foam squares.

Not sure when I would use this card, would it work for a little guy in grade one (in my class this year)??? I'm not sure, don't have boys myself, not sure if this is 'cute' enough for a little guy, to me it looks more for a man? What do you think? Now that I look at this pic, it needs more. I am going to add some buttons in the side rectangle!
Stamps: Riley (Hanna Stamps); Legendary Moments (CTMH)
Paper: Sarsparilla level 2 (CTMH)

Happy Holidays

I so wanted to use the cute Hannah image that Eulanda sent me. But this cute little image kept calling me. I hadn't used this weeks sketch from CPS and I thought he would work perfectly! Here is the sketch: Here is what I came up with. I used my copics to color him in, red fun flock on the hat, white liquid applique and glitter on the hat trim, colored glitter on the lights in the image, and liquid glass on his nose and on the side lights. The side lights are on foam squares. I so love how this turned out!
Stamps: Image (Whipper Snapper); So Sweet Seasons and December Word Puzzle (CTMH)
Side lights are made with the Cricut cartridge Doodlecharms and the light string is black waxy flax (CTMH).
Paper: CTMH

Happy Mail Day

Oh happy day! I received this RAK from the ever talented Eulanda. I loved her card when she posted it on her blog but it is even better IRL! Then she sent a ton of images, I mean a ton! Wow, can't wait to play with them. I think the first one I will use is the Hannah Stamp - I am totally going to case Eulanda's card! Here is a close up of the card, isn't it awesome?!

More happy mail (bad pic I know!) I received my Sugar Nellie stamps! I'm going play all day! Actually life happens, too many appointments and things to do, I can't play all day, but I will when I can!

Joy

This is my card for this weeks SCS sketch challenge. All supplies are from CTMH except the flourish stamp. The letters are on foam squares. Stamps: Boutique Alphabet; December Word Puzzle; October SOTM (Annotations - I love the little journalling lines); Flourish (Basic Grey)

Embellishments: Cranberry Grosgrain Ribbon, Cranberry Safety pin (can't really see it but it is in the top ribbon); Sparkles

Just Because and I've finished the peaches!

Yay! I spent pretty much the whole day in school prepping for the upcoming kiddos next week, and will be going in lots until then! Then I did our peaches - they are done! Yippee!

Now on to some fun stuff. I found another blog that does card sketches, like I need another one! You can see the blog here. Here is what I came up with. Again using Notebook Paper. All supplies are from CTMH except Flourish stamp, punch, sizzix (library card pocket), some of the flowers. I covered some of our clear buttons with some Notebook paper, and then tied waxy flax in them. (I really need to check things over before taking the pic - I have since cut those annoying little threads!)
Here is what the little tag looks like:

Stamps: Classmate Alphabet (I love all the little sayings); Journalling Jots; Solo H, Amore lowercase; Flourish (Basic Gray)
Paper: Notebook level 2
Flowers: CTMH; All that Scraps
Embellishments: Bamboo edge anchors, Black ribbon rounds, black brads, clear buttons

Uniquely You

I have redeemed myself (well in my mind anyway) so now I can go to bed! I am much happier with this layout than my Christmas one. I used a couple of Pagemaps sketches. Again I love the simplicity. The Snow title and the large snowflake (cut from a coaster with my sizzix) have been fun flocked. The white sentiment and snowflakes on the photos have been stamped with White Daisy pigment ink and then embossed with white embossing powder. I dry brushed some white acrylic paint around some edges. All supplies (except sizzix and cricut) are from CTMH. Stamps: Uniquely You; Circle Around; Journalling Jots; January Word Puzzle; Winter Reflection
Paper: Crystal Blue textured cardstock (both sides); Chocolate cardstock
Ink: chocolate dye ink; white daisy pigment
Letters: s n o w dimensional monograms
tools: cricut Plantain Schoolbook; sizzix die snowflake #2

Yay I'm done!

I LOVE Christmas it is my favorite holiday of all. But when it comes to scrapping it I always struggle. (why on earth would I ever let my daughter wear those purple polka dot PJs on Christmas day - they don't go with Christmas colors!!!). I am not totally happy with this layout there are parts of it I love (buttons, bracket, tree - it could use more buttons though) and many parts I hate (journalling strips, decorative dainties), I am happy it is done and I will move on! I am just happy to have completed Danica's 2007 album, now on to Jaimee's!
Stamps used: December Word Puzzle; Circle Around; Festive Thoughts; October SOTM; Decorative Dainties; Adorable backgrounds
Paper: NEW Evensong level 2

Grateful

Ok I tried to can my peaches but only a few were ripe enough so I only was able to do 5 jars! Yippee (although this does mean I will have to fit them in sometime next week). It is also pouring outside so I can't really do any outside chores - for that I grateful as well!!! Soo.... I went into my scraproom to do another layout but I just felt like doing a card in some fall colors again. I pulled out this dusty stamp that I bought many years ago and it hasn't really seen much ink! Of course I didn't have my copics then. What a perfect image for copics! I had fun coloring this. The background is chalked. Now that I look at the pic I realize I need a slight bit darker shading just next to the gourds so I will do that. Other than that I love how it turned out. The twill was something used to tie up some tea towels I purchased years ago, I knew one day it would come in handy. I used Stazon to stamp the sentiment on.
Stamps: Image (PSX); sentiment (Hero Arts)
Papers: Abundance level 2 (CTMH)

With Chai Tea Life is Good!

It is late so this is my last post for today. It is as creative as I could be at this time of night, when I have been up since 6am! Eulanda sent me this Bella stamp a long time ago and I have finally inked her up! Can't believe it took me this long because if I was a Bella (and I'm not, I'm much fluffier and way more casual!) this could be me - dressed in my favorite colors drinking my favorite drink! Aaaahhhh! This is another card for Verve's August Project Parade. My favorite colors so I think I will be making a few cards for this challenge! Stamps: Lattebella (Stampingbella); Life is good (Classmate alphabet - CTMH); Chai Tea (Savoir Faire)
Paper: Blush, Chocolate and White Daisy

Treasure Life

Ever since seeing Kathy's card I knew I had to case it. Her card is beautiful and you can see it here. I love this technique of sponging backgrounds with different inks, haven't done this in ages! Fun to do again. I used the colors on this card for the OCC challenge this week. I sponged the Goldrush ink first and then put a circle of cardstock on as a mask and then did the rest. I spritzed with a little water and blended. All supplies are from CTMH.
Stamps: Treasure Life (September SOTM); Fair Blossoms
Colors: Goldrush, Olive, Cranberry and black
Technique: sponging on inks with foam tools.

Then I used some different colors and this is more me. I am a morning person so I like the pink colors of the sunrise and of course this Verve sentiment. Same technique as above.

Stamps: Treasure Life; sentiment (Verve)
Colors: Baby Pink, Blush, Sunflower, Goldrush

Dance -SC190

Another card for the SCS sketch this week. Seem to be using Fabby a lot lately, she just so enjoys life! All supplies are from CTMH except the stamps. Fabby is on foam squares Stamps: Fabby (Stampingbella); Sentiment (Beautiful You set from Verve)
Paper: Life Delights level 2

Merry Christmas Elf

Jen has come up with another great sketch. Here it is: Here is the card I came up with. If I keep doing these sketches, I'll have all my Christmas cards made and they will all get unique ones! (Let's see about 5 made , 50 more to go!) All supplies are CTMH except the red glitter. The little elf is on foam squares.
Paper: Evensong Creative Basics DP, New England Ivy Cardstock
Stamps: Merry Pursuits; So Sweet Seasons
buttons, waxy flax and cranberry ribbon.
