Let's Get Together for Coffee
I just received this Shimelle True Stories collection by American Crafts and had to use it. The colors are so pretty and that coffee mug... it was just fussy cut from the pattern paper!
The stamps are from Evalicious, My Favorite Things, The Ton and Precious Remembrance.
That fun coffee die is also from The Ton.
Have you had your coffee yet?
I'm just going to get myself a cup of tea.

A masculine celebration
Hi everyone, it is time for a new challenge over at The Challenge:
When I saw the inspiration I immediately thought of the new
I just choose some papers and items from the collection that were masculine and had colors similiar to the inspiration. Some simple layering using the Scrapbook Adesives E-Z Runner and 3D foam squares and the card was complete.
It can be used for many occasions, which is how I try to make the majority of my cards.
The sentiment die is from Papertrey Ink.
Be sure to pop on over to The Challenge to see the rest of the creations.

Quick and Easy Valentine Gift
I am up on the My Mind's Eye Blog today with a quick and easy Valentine gift.
I used the My Story collection to create a little tag, as well as for covering the top of the paint can (isn't it a cute little can?!). I placed a little tube (SRM Stickers) inside before filling with candy. What is inside the tube you ask? It is a date night dinner coupon :)

The tag was easy to create - I created the little vellum envelope myself. I just added bits and pieces and some die cuts and it was done. I do have more details up on the My Mind's Eye Blog.
Now to work on a couple more of these little tins...

She colored her thoughts
It is time for another challenge and this week it is an inspiration challenge:
I went with the big flower and tucked a sentiment in the corner like in the photo.
The papers are the September Skies by Heidi Swapp. I fussy cut the large flower from one of the pattern papers.
The sentiment is once again from the She stamp set by Unity and the die is from Simon Says.
Be sure to pop on over to The Challenge to see the rest of the inspiration and to play along!

Tea Time card trio
What a great day it was today. It began with some playtime in my craft room and just got better after that (including some much needed cleaning and organizing).
I used the Hello Gorgeous collection from My Mind's Eye to create a trio of tea themed cards.
I used the Hello Gorgeous collection from My Mind's Eye to create a trio of tea themed cards.
All of which work well for the Curtain Call challenge - girly
First up, I trimmed one of the pattern papers to create a flowered border. I then added a tag, a die cut tea cup (from Simon Says) and the tea bag is from Reverse Confetti. I also added a stamped circle from Papertrey Ink (Tea for Two) and as a final touch stamped a repeated sentiment.
Next up, I used the Tea for Two stamp set along with the Wet Paint Cuts both from Papertrey Ink. The spoon is a Simon Says die.
I played along with the sketch from Retro Sketches:
Finally, the last card that I created. I used the She stamp set from Unity to stamp along the edge. Once again, a spoon die from Simon Says.
Played along with the CAS(E) this sketch:

Life Is What You Make It
I snuck in a bit of a play this morning before the busy day of chasing my grand daughter began :)
I used the new By the Sea collection by My Mind's Eye. So fun and although it is sea themed, I made a 'good luck'/graduation/encouragement type of card. The stamp (Amazing) and sentiment die (Doubly Amazing) is from My Favorite Things and the large anchor die is from Echo Park

I hope you feel beautiful
Had the urge to play tonight :)
I used some Heidi Swapp papers to create this simple card. Not much to tell about it really.

Just layered a couple of pieces from the collection. I added a Silhouette cut and the stamped sentiment is from Unity (I hope you feel beautiful)
I used this weeks sketch from Retrosketches.
Birthday Boy Make a Wish
So excited to be joining The Challenge Design Team! We have a new challenge every week and this week it is a color challenge.
I was inspired to create a boys birthday card because as you know I am working on building my classroom stash. :)
I used some Bella Blvd paper and journaling cards. I love that the back of the journaling cards is pattern paper. I don't have any boys so the cards that I won't use have great stripes on the back. A super simple card was made with some MFT dies (Stacking Stars) and stickers are from SRM Stickers.
Now be sure to head on over to The Challenge and see what the other DT members have created.
Hope to see you playing along too!

Time for Tea and Lemonade
I played with some Pink Paislee tonight. We have had a wonderful winter so far, but there is something about a new year that makes me look so forward to spring. These colors just say spring to me.
I used the Citrus Bliss collection.
I used the Citrus Bliss collection.
For this first card I used some MFT stamps (Mason Jar Labels) and dies (Mason Jar Die), to create this cool, lemonade themed card. I fussy cut the lemons from some of the pattern paper and I layered a vellum mug over some of the lemon pattern paper. The ink is a Donna Salazar Mixed Media ink. I mounted the mug and the lemons on 3D Foam Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives.
I am playing along with the Little Red Wagon challenge - Thank You and I was inspired by both the photo and the sketch from Fusion.
Next up a tea themed card. I like the text background paper, everthing about it just makes me think about sitting out in a garden drinking some tea on a warm spring day so that is where the idea for the card came from. The stamps are from The Ton (Hug in a Mug) and the die is from Papertrey Ink - Wet Paint Cuts. I did make the lid of the tea pot 3d by using some 3D foam squares.

Hello There Handsome
I played along with a couple of challenges and created a card for hubby for Valentine's Day :)
I used the Love You More collection by Elle's Studio along with some dies from My Favorite Things (Staggered Heart Border)

I fussy cut some elements from pattern paper and also used some of the Elle's Studio Snippets and tucked them in here and there. Of course I added some staples and stitching :)
I am playing along with the sketch challenge at My Favorite Things
I am also playing along with The Card Concept challenge this week.
Frozen Birthday Wishes
Today I am up on the Scrapbook Adhesives blog sharing another birthday card. Believe it or not, birthday cards are not my favourite to create but I am still working on building my classroom stash :)
For this card I once again, went with the Winter Wonderland collection by Pebbles. It is such a fun collection to play with.

I used the 3D Foam snowflakes, they are an easy way to add some interest. Please see the Scrapbook Adhesives Blog for more information.
