I'm getting this posted by the skin of my teeth, LOL. Things have been crazy busy here but now with school out things will slow down a bit. Anyways here is this week's sketch:
I have used some papers from Pattern Happy (for more details on which ones, please visit the PH blog)
I then used the star dies from Stamplorations, along with the congrats from MFT.
To complete the theme, I added a button from A Flair for Buttons.
Of course... some staples :)
Now I would love to see what your take on the sketch is:

Inspired By - let's go camping
The new Inspired By challenge is up.
I took the photo pretty literally and it gave me a good excuse to combine this fun Wander paper from My Mind's Eye with the RV There Yet stamp set by SugarPea Designs.
Also playing at:
Little Red Wagon: Summer Fundays
Simon Says: Anything Goes

I stamped and paper pieced the trailer. Parts of it are mounted on foam squares for some dimension. I die cut (an Echo Park die) the trees then stitched them on.
The sentiment is a sticker in the Wander collection, I just cut it apart.

Mindful Monday - Music
Welcome to another Mindful Monday. What is Mindful Monday? well... it is explained here, but in a nutshell, documenting simple things that just make us happy. I think it is important to take the time to be mindful and just appreciate what we have, and the simple and amazing things that surround us in our daily lives.
This week's prompt is... music.
What does that mean to you? do you have a favorite type? does it stir up memories? perhaps a funny story related to music (e.g. at a dance with friends and your favorite song comes on)...
Music, I love music. I used to have it on all of the time growing up and really enjoyed it. I find now as I am older I much prefer a quiet solitude - probably because of my job - so much stimulation - aka - noise pollution all day long 😉
Anyways, doesn't stop me from enjoying a some loud music while on a car ride by myself.
I used some SRM Stickers (sad that they are no longer) for my pages.
I really like any type of music - depends on the occasion. I definitely have a sweet spot for 80s music - lots of fun memories tied to that!
But if I had to choose only one type - it would have to be country. My dad listened to it and I associate it to many happy memories - camping, fishing (my dad had an 8 track player in his boat) and just living in the country as a child... good old Charly Pride, Merle Haggard, Don Williams and of course Johnny Cash - any of those old songs make my heart happy. Now I choose country as the new country is like the old rock that I liked as a teenager. So country music feeds my soul
I would love to see your take on the prompt.

Sketchy Saturday with Pebbles and The Stamps of Life
It is time for another Sketchy Saturday
What do you think? Fun sketch? Those little tabs at the bottom could be tags tucked in as well.
I used some Pebbles paper along with a new stamp from The Stamps of Life (pineapple2stamp) and the coordinating die.
I mounted the pineapple on foam squares as are the glasses for some dimension.
I added a couple of strips of paper at the bottom and then tied on some twine.

An upcycled denim note holder
Thursday means another Inspired By challenge. I took the photo pretty literally.
I upcycled a denim pocket to be used as a little pocket at my desk to hold some daily reminders.
I used some bits and pieces from Elle's studio along with some Unity stamps.
Now do head on over to the Inspired By Blog to see what the DT have created.

I love this stamped sentiment from the Living Each Day SMAK kit . Definitely a good daily reminder.
I then tacked on a sentiment from Elle's which I thought fit this butterfly from Moment by Moment rather well.

Fudgesicles... yes please
I am up on the Pattern Happy blog today.
I decided to use the Coolest Ever die and create fudgesicles rather than popsicles.... can't pass up anything chocolate.
My card is quick and easy, but right now so many things on the agenda and time is of the essence :)

Hello Summer....
Oh my, it is hot here! We went from cold rainy days to hot summer - in the thirties. Inspired me to create this card (and then... I made myself a lemon matcha frappucino ;) )
I am up on the AFFB blog today.
I combined a number of stamps (SU!, Unity and MFT), of course the button is from A Flair For Buttons
Here is some inspiration for you...

Great Grandma with Felicity Jane and Technque Tuesday
yay, another layout for Scrappy Sunday. I didn't think I would get one done as my printer was not cooperating with me today.
Anyways, I used my Brie Collection from Felicity Jane to scrap these photos... which I LOVE. So happy I captured this moment. My grand daughter is very lucky to have so many people that love her and she gets to spend a lot of time with my parents.

The sentiment from the Grandma Blessings Stamp set by Technique Tuesday was perfect. I love this stamp set, and will be using it again shortly! I used some of the puffy letters from Felicity Jane to add the word great.
Playing along with a few challenges:

Sketchy Saturday with Echo Park and Honey Bee Stamps
I just received this fun Honey Bee stamp set (Shine On) and had to play with it. I paired it up with some Echo Park paper (Fashionista)
The stamp and paper work well together don't you think? The 'you' die is from PTI.
I would love to see your take on the sketch, I think I may even do another.... :)
