A Year of Dates Coupon Book - Stocking Stuffer

I have a project up on the Elle's Studio blog today using the 2014 Collection.  I decided to make hubby a stocking stuffer.  I created this mini album and each month will have a pocket filled with a pre-planned date night and the money for it.  To create the pockets, I just sealed some kraft envelopes, cut them in half and then punched a half circle from one edge.

On the cover I have also used some SRM Stickers and some American Crafts Thickers.

Inside I have created a pocket to hold the money/ gift card and a note about the date.  I will include such things as hotel gift cards, money for lunches, dinners and movie nights.  A gift that keeps on giving and I get some fun out of it too, can't beat that!   Love these wooden veneers from Elle's Studio

I have also used some more of the chipboard hashtags from Creative Embellishments (can't believe how many words are in one package!) here I have added some glitter to it.

Girl Power cards

Welcome to another Unity Blog Hop and Happy Birthday to me - 29 and holding ;)

 Once again I bring you Roxanne Fashionista...sorry can't help it, she is just so perfect with the sentiments in I am Woman!  I have also paired them up with the Starring You SMAK kit, love my SMAKs.  I have used the Hey Kid by Pink Paislee along with some star dies.  I thought this would make a good teen card.

Now I used the same sketch to create a CAS Fashionista card for you, this one is Anatasia and I have her paired with the November SMAK kit (Be Your Own Beautiful) and the new Layers of Life (Full Circle Moment) - don't you love those circles - I do!  The paper is Finnley by Glitz

My new Inspired By Challenge is up:

Bay Days

You have until tomorrow night to play along with my Inspired By challenge.

I decided to create a layout in which I pulled out the yellow and blue (loving these 2 colors lately).  I used the Cut & Paste Charm Collection by My Mind's Eye along with the Ooh-La-La stamp set from TAWS and a couple of Silhouette cuts.  I have saved these chipboard clothing tags for awhile and putting them into a little canvas bag helped to create the shopping theme.  Another thing I always save are the little chain links that come on some clothing pieces.

Up Cycled and Altered Wooden Ice Skates

I have another Echo Park project to share today.  I picked up these wooden skates at a thrift store for next to nothing, they were already basecoated and the perfect colors to go with the Let it Snow Mini Theme collection!  I think this was one of the easiest altered art/up cycled pieces I have done.  I traced around the skate onto the pattern paper, cut it out, stitched around the edge, adhered and embellished with stickers and twine, easy, peesy!  The Twine is from Divine Twine.

A Couple of Girl themed Birthday cards

I need to build up my stash of girly birthday cards for the kiddos in my class and the I Love Candy Mini Theme collection from Echo Park was perfect! I also used a PTI stamp a die from My Favorite things and some Divine Twine.  I love how bright and cheery this collection is and of course the cute little images.

A couple of just because cards

I have a couple of cards to share with you today and both use the From Me to You collection by Pebbles.  I think my favorite cards to make are ones that are Just Because, as they can be used for so many things.


This first one is one that I made for the Pebbles Blog for World Card Making Day but I haven't shared it here yet.

December Daily

Well this year I took the jump into Project Life and now I am finally going to try a December Daily album.  I used the Noel collection by Elle's Studio to create my album along with some Unity Stamps and Twinery Twine.  To create the base of the album, I just sealed and then cut some kraft envelopes in half.  That way there are pockets included in the pages as well.  I have only shown a few of the pages here.

On this page I have used the It's A Tradition Unity SMAK kit for my to do list.

The stamped list on this page is from the Naughty, Nice, Not Sure set by Unity.  I also used some of the Bit & Pieces of Noel as little tags/pages themselves in the album.

Finally the back page.  I have used the Ticket to Christmas by Unity and one of the tags included in the Elle's Studio freebies that are shipped with each order!

Now I can't wait to take more photos and fill up my book!  I love Christmas!

Altered Christmas Gift Bag

It is sketch week up on the My Mind's Eye blog and I was asked to use the sketch to create something other than a card or layout.  I decided to create a Christmas Gift Bag.using the Vintage Christmas collection.  I used pretty much all scraps from other projects, yay!.  I just started laying the pieces here and there until I was happy with how they looked.  I then just added the embellishments.  As a final touch I also added a few clear stickers from SRM Stickers.
