Ok, my last Trigger Card!

I just can't seem to put these colors away!  Here is another card I whipped up.

You've been on my mind

Here is the Tuesday Trigger again (I love this photo - I wish I was there!)

As said for my earlier card, I attempted a seaside card last time, but it morphed into a baby card.  This time I made the seaside card.  I dug out some dusty and underused Cuttlebugs, as well as the Life's A Beach Cricut Cartridge.  The sentiment is from PTI.  It is hard to tell in the photo but I distressed the edges of the card.  Oh and it is not evident in the photo but I did score 2 lines on the bottom of the card. Oh and since I sponged or inked the edges of the starfish this also fits the Just Buggin Challenge.

Free You Say?

Be sure to scroll down to see my Tuesday Trigger project for today, I am just bumping this to the top as a reminder to all - ;)

This is a LONG post so be sure to keep scrolling all the way down!!!  Also it is my second post for today so be sure to scroll down to see some yummy hot chocolate mugs.

All Things Grow With Love

My second post for today.
The Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger:

I dug out the colors and I totally intended up making some sort of calm seaside type of card but somehow it ended up being a baby card.  Oh well I got to play with another new stamp set and stickers from CTMH.  I used the text background from Noted Backgrounds, love it almost as much as the herringbone one.  All supplies are from CTMH.  I paper pieced the owls and put them on foam squares.

Cardstock: Bamboo, Heavenly Blue, Buttercup, White Daisy, Sweet Leaf
Stamps: Noted Backgrounds, Love You Forever
Sticker: My Stickese Topstitch
Heavenly Blue Ribbon
Crystal Blue buttons
bamboo waxy flax

Get Well Wishes

I seem to be using a lot of Black, blue and white lately!  I love this combo, so chic.  I had fun with this card as I got to play with a lot of new things.  The Umbrella stamp is a new one (Springtime) from CTMH (available January 1st), the Sentiment is a new PTI stamp and I got to use my new Martha Stewart punch for ribbon.  The pattern paper is also some new CTMH paper (Caboodle).  So fun!

I layered the umbrella top and mounted it with foam squares.  Of course this is another entry for the Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge too.

Happy Mail

I was so happy when I opened a package from Michelle (Card Patterns co-ordinator) and this is what was in it!  I was not expecting it at all, what a nice surprise.  Michelle has been fabulous to work for on Card Patterns and I can't wait to see who the new Design Team is, they will enjoy it!

Another woo hoo!

I just saw that I was featured on Cath's Tuesday Trigger, woo hoo!

Get Well Soon

My second post for today.

The challenge at Our Creative Corner is to do something with Food or Drink.  I have been itching to use my new Cricut cartridge - From My Kitchen so this challenge is perfect.  Of course it works perfectly with this American Crafts - Craft Fair collection.  This is also for the Let's Capture Our Memories Challenge.

Pattern Paper: American Crafts
Cricut: From My Kitchen
Stamps: There She Goes

Hey Cupcake

The Color Challenge from Design Dollies:

For my card I used my new Schlosser Designs Stamp: Hey Cupcake.  Such a sweet little stamp set!  Love all the little sayings that are included.

This is also for the Our Creative Corner Challenge this week - Food or drink. I also just checked the Jacksonbelle Embellishments Blog and it fits their challenge too, use ribbon in creative ways - I'll have to try some new ways too.

The sketch this week from 2 Sketches 4 You:

I am trying to build up my card stash again since I gave away so many for Christmas gifts (not that I really have to, I still have lots).  I finally broke into my Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg paper that I won in a blog candy draw, which means this card also works for the Let's Capture Our Memories challenge.

I hope you play along with us this month.  I know it is a busy month but we don't have as many participants so your chances of winning the fantastic prize are good!  Just sayin.

2010

Well, the big day has come and gone and it was great!  Jason offered to cook the dinner this year, I would never argue about that! LOL  So his first turkey dinner and we had EVERYONE here! 22 people - 10 kids and 12 adults.  He did a fantastic job - I loved his sweet potatoes, my favorite dish of the meal and I don't even like sweet potatoes!  Thanks Jason, you are great!

I don't usually make New Years Cards but there were a few challenges for them, so you know me and challenges - I just can't resist! LOL.  Actually hubby and I started dating on New Years 1986 (just as the clock rolled over to midnight he asked me out officially on Jan. 1 1986) so long ago!  So coming up we will have been together for 24 years!  So maybe I'll give this to him.

The sketch this week from Limelight:

For my card I incorporated the Cute Card ThursdayCARDS challenge and the Paper Cutz Challenge  to make a New Years Card

Cardstock: Moonstruck and White Daisy (CTMH)
Pattern Paper: Game On and Animal Cookies (CTMH)

Celebrate the Season Gift Box

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Hope that everyone's Christmas day is going well (or went well depending on when you are here!)

The challenge for Get Sketchy is 'Trash to Treasure'.  We were to take something that was meant for the trash and reuse it.

We are sponsered by GCD studios this week and look at the fabulous package of goodies!

I have had this box since last Christmas.  One of my students gave me some chocolates in this box.  The acetate window had the store sticker on it so I tore it out.  I put in a Frosted blank from Shortcuts, added some CTMH stickers (Jingle) a few punched snowflakes and voila a quick gift box!  I put a divided down the middle.  I will use this to give some of our homemade chocolates and such to our neighbors.  This is also for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge - create a treat package, the Practial Scrappers challenge and the Our Creative Corner Challenge - snowflakes.

I know that you will have many things heading to the trash this week, why not show us how you can upcycle them!

Hot Chocolate Mugs

Another treat package (or 10!).  This is what all the kids will have at their seat at our house for Christmas dinner.  We are having both mine and Jason's family over for dinner (10 kids 12 adults) and Jason is cooking it - YAY what a guy!  Each cup contains some hot chocolate, dipped marshmallows and a candy cane.  Of course I used a PTI label for the tag.

Of course another entry in the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge, the Practical Scrappers challenge, and the Stamp Something Challenge.

The Last Desk Calendar page

So this is my 4th post today can you believe it!

This is the final page for hubby's desk calendar.  Both kids are not really feeling well, and I forgot to adjust the hats how I wanted them but nonetheless, I do like this page.  As always, it is very simple as it is a 6 X 6 calendar page, for a man who would not really appreciate all the froo froo if I did it!  LOL!  I just took the picture today and now the calendar is done, finally!  Now to wrap the remainder of my gifts!

More Danica Creations

Third post for today.  We are busy like Santa's elves around here!

So here is another creation from Danica.  When we were in Michael's a couple of weeks ago, she got me to buy a bunch of little craft things (pipe cleaners, paper mache house and train, wooden sleigh, styrofoam balls etc.)  Unknown to me she had a plan.  She got her dad to cut her a piece of board, and put a hole in it for the bell post.  All the rest was her creation!  She made this for me for a Christmas gift, but wanted me to open it early so that I could display it over Christmas holidays.  Isn't it fantastic!!!

ETA I found out that there is a bit of a space in the center.  Danica wanted to put a Santa there (she knows how much I LOVE Santa and what he represents) but she just couldn't find the right one.  I told her we will search for it and one day we will find the perfect one.

Now here are some close ups.  The little elves she took from a Christmas tag we had.
