You Rock Ipodabella

Marjorie put out another color challenge this week (Blush, Hollyhock and Garden Green) and these are colors I like so I knew I could do something with them. I just got Ipodabella and had to ink her up! He coat collar and bottom are fun flocked. This was also this weeks Bella Sketch Challenge so 2 challenges in one, gotta like that! All supplies except Bella and cuttlebug folder are CTMH.

Frog/Outdoor Layout

This is a close up of the title. I love the background stamps. I used the Weathered Backgrounds to create the dark page and the Spot On Backgrounds on the bracket and the Rustic Alphabet Letters (kissing technique).

Stamps: Rustic Alphabet, Weathered Background, Spot On Background, Lazy Days (frog - retired)
Paper: It's a Guy Thing Level 2
Accessories: It's a Guy Thing Level 3 Stickese, pewter brads, pewter photo hanger, foam squares, unknown source for the arrows.

Pink and Flowers Challenge

I have 1000 hits (since putting in the counter), in celebration I am putting out a challenge. Since my favorite color is pink, and I love flowers let's see what you come up with incorporating both. You have until Sunday May 4th, noon to enter. Post your link in my comments and my daughters and I willl pick a winner. What is the prize you ask? It is this lovely CTMH stamp set, it makes beautiful backgrounds, and I love the sentiment it is one of my favorites.

Cottage Floral Thank You

These stamp pads were sitting together on my shelf and I thought they made a good combo. They naturally suit a boy card - I was going to do a frog of some sort but challenged myself to do something different. It also gave me a good excuse to try my new stamp set! All supplies CTMH

Colors: Sweet Leaf, Outdoor Denim, Twilight
Papers: textured cardstock, and white daisy cardstock
Stamp sets: May SOTM, Spot on Background, Cottage Floral

First Double Pocket card

Whew long title. Ever had one of those cards that seemed to take forever? Well this is one of them. I stamped the Sweet Leaf paper with the Western Flourish first in SL then overstamped with White Daisy ink. I left it overnight to dry, worked on it this morning then just finished it! I didn't have a template, just did what I thought was done. All supplies are from CTMH and I got the inspiration from Denise's blog http://allthingsstamped.blogspot.com/.

These are the tags:

Colors are: Sweet Leaf, Buttercup, Pink Carnation and a bit of Olive
Stamp Sets: Western Flourish, Blooming Flourish, May SOTM, Aug. SOTM, Happy Birthday
Colored in parts of it with markers and blending pen

Rock on

Finally got to do some scrapping! I NEVER do one page layouts, I am anal about both pages going together! However, I didn't have enough pics to do 2 pages, so I hope this doesn't bug me later on! The bitty brads on the letter F, are attached with liquid glue - I used wire cutters to cut off the 'prongs'. The 'Rock on' is on a foam strip. All supplies (except spiral punch) are CTMH.

Stamp sets: Delightful alphabet, Spot On Background, Playful Flourish, Journalling Jots
Paper: Hollyhock, Gray Wool, Black and White Daisy Cardstock; Game on Patterned Paper.
Embellishments: bitty brads, black brads, hollyhock accents, chipboard letters, ric rac ribbon

Another scoop!

Eulanda has spoiled me again! She keeps sending me these awesome little packages. Can't wait to color in the images. You know I wonder if she was using the Bella sketch for her card, I must say great minds think alike!

OOPS I just realized when doing my next post (Rock ON) that the spiral punch is not in the photo - Eulanda also spoiled me with a SU! spiral punch!!!

Some Bellas

Danica keeps asking for more cards with these little cuties so I decided to use the stamp for this weeks Bella sketch challenge. I also used the new CTMH stamp set Spot On (one of my favorites from the new catalogue) to create the yellow background paper. All the paper is from CTMH (sunny yellow, orange and bubblegum).

I have been wanting to ink up my grumpabella stamp for awhile. I decided to use it in the SCS challenge this week. Again using the Spot On stamp set to create the pink patterned paper. The DP is a retired CTMH set, I am slowly getting over my hoarding of it!

I'm back!

Not sure what has been going on but I have been just too tired since coming home from the track meet (Danica did awesome by the way - 2 firsts, a second, a fourth and a fifth!). I just have not been able to go into my scraproom. Tonight I had a bit of energy so this is what I came up with. I used SCS sketch challenge for this week and the Creative Basics paper. The top panel is on foam squares. Everything except punch and ribbon is CTMH.

Stamps: Delight in Everything; Say it in Style (May SOTM); A little bee
Paper: Creative Basics Boom-di-ada paper.

See you soon

I had hoped to work on something tonight and post but it didn't work out. Jaimee's Open House went longer than anticipated then I was out for a nice cold (come on, it is spring what's with the cold weather???) walk. Once lunches were made etc, just no mojo left! I did go to the scraproom, but I just looked around and walked back out! I don't do that very often.

We are off to Victoria this weekend for a track meet so I won't be posting anything new until Monday at the earliest. Hope everyone has a great weekend and see you soon!

Happy Birthday Hippo

I got my new paper pack Game On and couldn't wait to use it. I love it! I used this weeks SCS sketch challenge and I like how it turned out. I used liquid glass to cover the bottom of clear buttons with the DP, the white panel and the hippo are both on foam strips. I zigzagged around the outside of the card. All supplies are from CTMH.

Stamps: Life's a Jungle (July SOTM); Spot on Background; Happy Birthday
Paper: Game On Level 2
Ink: Gray Flannel, Gray Wool, Black
Accessories: Clear Buttons, Bitty Brads

Canada gift album

When Jaimee and I go to Japan in July, one gift we want to bring is a souvenir photo album. I kept the embellishing simple since there wasn't a lot of room, and no journalling since the people will be Japanese. I took most of the photos (a couple are from Danica) so I am happy with how this turned out. This is the book closed: Opened out.
Tags from inside the pocket:
Most supplies CTMH
Papers: Bamboo, Desert Sand, Cranberry and Ponderosa Pine
Stamps: Celebrate Canada, Vintage Canada (both CTMH) native print, trees and seagulls (inkadinkadoo, PSX and unknown).

Hugs Jammybella

Just another card with the Bella sketch.
Colors: sunkiss yellow, sunny yellow, bubblegum, baby pink
Bear is fun flocked.

Thank You Mwahbella

Used the Bella sketch challenge for this card. I love the new Boom-di-ada Creative Basics paper and ric rac from CTMH, such fun cheery colors. The sentiment is from the May stamp of the month (Say it in Style).

Sorting photos

Sorry I haven't posted, but I took it upon myself to sort though my digital photos and get them into their proper folders. It had been awhile since I had done this so it has taken awhile. Also I am looking through old pics trying to find some good family pictures and scenic pictures. I need to make an album of sorts to leave for our homestays when Jaimee and I are in Japan. I am almost there, so hopefully can get back to scrapping soon!

Bling Challenge

One of my fellow former SBS11 gals issued a bling challenge. I so wanted to do black and white and bling, but I challenged myself to come up with something different! This is what I came up with. All supplies except ribbon and gems are from CTMH. The towel, bathing suit and sunglasses are paper pieced.

Stamps: Do Nothing, Friendship Puzzle
Paper: Whoops-a-Daisy

Another sneak peek at some of our new papers! Whoops-a-Daisy! Love this paper! Both are done with this weeks Bella Sketch Challenge #23

Boom-di-adda Bella

This is a sneak peek at some of the new Close to My Heart Papers. Love it! It also fit well with Marjorie's color challenge: (Goldrush, Sunkiss Yellow, Sweet Leaf, Autumn Terracotta).

No more SBS11

For reasons that have been discussed with a few of you I have decided to not be a part of SBS11. I was hoping for a group that had some swaps, RAKS and such. Toni, stated it well when she said we all seem to do our own thing and post which is great, you all have such wonderful work, such variety! I have loved visiting your blogs and I have added some of you to my favorites and I will still visit.

Mature and Fabulous

I love my new stamps from American Art Stamps! I have a hard time fancying them up though. To me, they just suit more simple looking cards, dunno, could be wrong. The nightgown on her says, "Mature and Fabulous".

Way to Go

This is my card for this weeks Bella Sketch Challenge. I usually try to stick to the layout as best I can on the first card and keep it simple. We'll see what I come up later on.

Sleepover

This is from Danica's 9th birthday party. Our first sleepover party and hopefully the last! LOL! I made the background paper by random stamping with a couple of stamp sets and stamp pads. Love the colors!

Stamp sets: Delight in Everything, Playful Petals, Sleepover, Today's Date (another sneak peek), Solo W, Rustic Alphabet, Doodle Alphabet and Say it in Style

Colors: Bubblegum, Baby Pink, Kiwi and Sunkiss Yellow

Embelishments: rhinestones and white organdy ribbon. Most things are on foam squares for dimension

April Bella Babe Entry

This is my entry into the April Bella Babe contest. The challenge was to use Yellow, orange and pink. Now I normally don't like orange or yellow (love pink!), but I love this card! The cupcake is punched out with a circle punch and adhered with a foam square. The scallops were done with my jumbo scallop scissors from years ago (knew I kept them for some reason), haven't used them in a very long time. I then used the crop-a-dile to punch the holes. I decided to 'stitch' after I had adhered it all to the front of the card - like real sewing on cards and stuff, so since I had already adhered it I used my trusty 'Fabric Finishes' stamp from CTMH.

Secret of Staying Young

Ok so I slipped on the words a bit, I will make another card but I just love this stamp from American Art Stamps and the sentiment from CTMH goes perfectly with it. On the inside of the card it says, "to live honestly, eat slowly and lie about your age".

Eulanda's Beautiful card

So here is the beautiful card I bragged about earlier! Isn't it amazing! My favorite color combo pink and brown too. Thank you Eulanda!

Just Because

Just playing with some new CTMH stamps. I used this weeks SCS sketch challenge.

Stamps: Say it in Style, With Love, Blooming Flourishes, Serendipity
Flowers are mounted on foam squares

Eulanda my enabler!

Just a quick post, to thank Eulanda for the surprise in the mail today. I will post a pic later. I love all the images (now I realize I need more Bellas!) and the Universal Hook, which I don't have and I am sure I will find it very handy! What has blown me away is the card she made. OMG it is gorgeous! She colored it with Copics and it is amazing. I now HAVE TO HAVE some Copics!!! Thanks Eulanda

Where is that Stamp From???

Some people have inquired as to where the stamp Body by Chocolate Chip is from. I posted the link in my sidebar under great websites, it is the American Art Stamps and they have few lines of stamps. The one I love is the Emerson Quillan line. I have a few more stamps on my wish list, sadly these women are more like me than a Bella! LOL!

Congrats Jenn D

Jenn was the only one who participated in my RAK challenge and her cards are so cute. Congrats Jenn. She has great work, check out her blog by clicking on her name in my sidebar under SBS 11

Stamping Bella

I made this card earlier but didn't post as for once I did not want Eulanda to see it ahead of time.

Body by Chocolate Chip

I used the Bella sketch challenge for this as I just got these stamps in the mail and I so wanted to ink them up but didn't want to think! I love this one it is my fav! This is actually the RAK I am going to send as the one I made the other day I need to keep in my CTMH kit to show off the new stamp set. My friend is going to love this one! Everything except the stamp is from CTMH.
