Farm Fresh Christmas Trees

The new Inspired By Challenge is up and I couldn't wait to play because my new CTMH stamps were perfect! All supplies are CTMH except deer die (Echo Park), Twine and wooden circles

These were super easy peesy. Just a light coat of white paint then stamped.

My favorite one (so far ;) )

Now head on over to Inspired By to see the beautiful creations by the team!

Some last minute Christmas Decor...

Merry Christmas!

I have had these Chipboard letters for a couple of months and finally got them covered! As soon as I saw them and the plaid paper in the 'Tis the Season pack, I knew I wanted to make this for above my living room window.

Luckily for me... they fit perfectly!

They went together very quickly...just trace the letters (backwards, on the back of the paper), cut out and adhere to the letters.

Now... I've got ideas spinning in my head... I might do the word 'home' or 'family' after Christmas. I can also see the word 'dream' above the bed in the guest room..... so many ideas....

Have a Merry Christmas everyone! Enjoy the time with your families!

Dear Santa...

So excited to be creating for Christmas.... I LOVE Christmas and Santa!

See those numbers in the back.... they are the Chipboard Monogram Numbers from CTMH! I covered them with our Red Glitter Paper now I have to wait before I can put them up....

I then created this fun card... I had to use that little tag in the 'Tis the Season collection. I used a glitter star from the Complements to mark off which one - adhering with a Glue Dot. The red strip paper is from the collection - I just used a punch to create a notebook look to it.

I stamped and paper pieced the Santa from the Oh What Fun Stamp and die set. he is then mounted with foam circles. I then added some die cut snowflakes using the Winter Flurries die.

Upcycled chocolate box

Every once in awhile I create something that I just love!  Lately I have been working on upcycling thrift store finds and repurposing wood.  Well I have been loving it!  Today I altered a thrift store wooden chocolate box.

First I painted it with some Country Chic Chalk Paint.  I love this paint for many reasons... one of which is that it is made here in Canada!  After painting, I used a cut file from my Silhouette as a stencil and stenciled on the label.  I added a bit of shadowing to the letters with a black sharpie but everything else was done with chalk paint.  I then sanded the box until I was happy with the look.  As a final step I waxed it with a clear wax and then a dark brown wax.

I can't wait to display this little gem in amongst my Christmas decorations... soon, very soon ;)
