Don we now..... falala

Well, I had a card making frenzy on the weekend.... and it felt good :) Wish I could do that every day.

Anyways, here is today's card.  Once again, making use of my 'Tis the Season collection.  I fussy cut the bough from the paper and adhered it.

I then stamped and embellished (Red Pearls)  the Ugly Sweater using the Ugly Sweater stamp set. I stamped and cut apart the sentiment and adhered it down the side with the Falala die to finish it off.

The sweater, as always, is mounted on foam circles for dimension and interest.

I was going to play along with the CASE this sketch challenge but I was too late. Nonetheless, I love this card... even though there isn't any pattern paper ;)

I created the frame with the Simon Says rectangle dies and mounted with foam strips.

I then die cut the Simon Says Believe die out of the Red Glitter paper - perfect don't you think? The bell die is from Sunny Studio. I die cut and inked it then tied it to the believe with some Silver Embellishing Thread - very subtle which is what I was going for.

As a final touch I sprinkled a few sequins from Studio Katia.

Sketchy Saturday with a Snowman Shaker card

It's time for another Sketchy Saturday sketch. In keeping with the season, I decided to create a winter card and finally inked up this snowman - snowman2build and coordinating die- from The Stamps of Life.

The papers are from Fancy Pants.

Not much to say about the card. I created the shaker then added the die cut from the paper collection, stapled on some snowflakes then adhered the snowman.

The die cut sentiment is from Stamplorations.

Now last week I had a prize up for grabs and the random winner is:

and here is her card

Congratulations Beverly,
Email me your address and I will get your prize out to you!

Now I would love to see your take on this week's sketch:

Frosty Mornings

Today I am sharing another card I created for the CLC Blog hop.

For this one I have used some papers by Simple Stories and the stamps are from Stamplorations.

I used a MFT die to cut out a 'window' and backed it with some snow pattern paper by Fancy Pants.

I then stamped and paper pieced the image from the Toasty Mug stamp set and mounted on foam squares. I then stamped the sentiment and cut it apart so I could have it 'tumbling' down the side.

I used the fusion sketch... I just flipped it.

Using an envelope to create a little gift package

The new Inspired By Challenge is up and it is pretty sweet :) I was inspired to create some hot chocolate packages for my UPS, Fedex and Canada Post peeps... they work hard for me ;) Inside I have a package of hot chocolate, a candy cane, bailey's chocolate and a gift card to Tim Horton's

Thank you to Liz who shared this idea. I recycled some business envelopes into packages. Lucky for me... a local business changed owners and thus branding so they donated a ton of these such envelopes to our school so I scooped some for crafting.

Basically just seal and trim them down to 6" (save the top part for a gift card holder) - see instructions at end of post.

I have used the 'Tis the Season for my packages as I pulled out the stripes from the candy cane, the gray and the touch of blue.

The cup die is from The Stamps of Life - I love this die! I stamped sentiments from the Holiday Sparkle kit that came out earlier this season... did you manage to get one?

I stamped the candy canes from the Tis the Season Cardmaking stamp and accented with a blue punched snowflake. Of course the Winter Flurries die made another appearance.

Here is how I created the pocket... I then just covered with my paper.

Hint: make the decorative panel, then adhere to the envelope :)

Now here is the inspiration photo. Pretty hey? You should see what the design team have created! Come on over and play!

Joy shaker card

I'm up with another card for the CLC Blog Hop. Today I am sharing a quick shaker card that I made. I saw the inspiration from Pinspirational yesterday morning and quickly ran down to make a card before I headed out of town for a doctor appointment. I had limited time, but am very happy with the result. It went together quickly because I knew which stamp and paper I wanted to use before I got down there.

... although truth be told... it was VERY hard NOT to use pink ;)

I knew I wanted a shaker card so I used the rectangle frame dies from Simon Says. I then adhered the Stitched Alpine Border by Poppy Stamps.

I used the Angie Girl from the Our Heart to Yours KOTM by Unity. Now here is the thing, in the stamp, she is holding a Christmas ornament. I trimmed the ornament down and replaced it with a to go stamp from Joy Clair. Well, the cup didn't quite cover the whole hand and the fingers out the top looked silly so I cut them off and adhered to the side of the cup. I mounted her on foam circles.

As a finishing touch I added the die cut sentiment from Wplus9.

Once again, the Oh What Fun paper.... have I convinced you that you need it? It is only available until the end of December :)

Playing along with.... can you see where I was inspired?!

Also playing again with:

(I was imagining my image (from 2015) having a hot chocolate after playing in the snow :) )

Now don't forget I have a giveaway HERE... only a few more days of it being open!
