I am so happy to have the Nikki Sivils School is Cool collection to play with, I just love it! I have a cute little project for you today. For the past few years I have made my girls some sort of back to school goodie box. Normally it was just filled with candy/treats like my last years ones which you can see here. This year both girls are headed to high school so I threw in something a bit bigger. Along with the 'kisses' I have included a gift card for each of them - thus an 'older' version of a goodie bag. I picked up 4 of these little buckets at a thrift shop for $1 and they were orange so I spray painted them black and just added some decorations to them. I cut the 2 circles with my Cricut (Plantin Schoolbook) thus making this fit the Fantabulous Cricut challenge. The crayon is a stamp from The Stamps of Life crayons2stamp set. Finally tied off with a bit of twine.
I am doing another Jessica Sprague post for you today. I used the Hoopla kit by Glitz to make this fun celebration card. I cut the card base with my Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge, the jewels are from My Mind's Eye and the twine is from The Twinery. I did use a Unity stamp to stamp on the green paper but it is difficult to see. Everything else is from the Hoopla kit.
I wanted to use my Bella Blvd Sunshine and Happiness papers as my summer is winding down rather quickly :( I am nearly ready for class to start, but still savoring the last few days of summer. The little flag sentiment at the bottom is acutally cut from the border of the pattern paper. It is the name of the collection pack but I thought it would make a great addition for the card.
I hadn't posted my Inspired By project from last week here so I thought I would put it up today.
For my project I created a Back to School notebook for myself. Always handy to have one just for jotting down ideas from staff meetings and such. I have used a mixture of Jillibean Soup papers and elements (Grandma's Lima Bean, Winter Tortellini & Spinach, Soup Staples) and I cut the apple with my Cricut. I have also used some May Arts Jute Twine and Printed Twill, don't you love that all of this is available at theRibbon Carousel... including the collection pack - one stop shopping! Finally, the small apple die that I used for the negative strip is from PTI and the tab die is from My Favorite Things.
Hi everyone, so glad you could join the Nikki Sivils and Ribbon Carousel Blog Hop. Be sure to hop along everyone's blog so that you do not miss out on some great inspiration!
Today I have used the School is Cool - LOVE this collection! In our school we are not allowed to have the children's first and last names displayed so that at a glance it is easy to see them. Thus we hang our attendance clipboards backwards. Well after a year of staring at an ugly clipboard I decided it was time to remedy that! I used my Cricut to cut out the black letters, a notebook punch for the edge of the pattern paper, the little apple is a Unity stamp but all else is from the School is Cool collection. I then used some Black V Striped Twill as an added decoration and the pencil is tied on with some Twine (which my secretary will be happy with - no loose pencil to deal with) both available at the Ribbon Carousel. Just a bit of FYI to adhere the paper I have used the Beacon 3 in 1 and the ribbon with the Fabric adhesive, I am very happy with how well these have worked!
For my next project I have used the same paper pack to create a little back to school backpack for one of my girls. I have filled it with some hershey kisses. The template for the backpack can be found here. I have used the May Arts Printed Twill along with some Twine.
The Ribbon Carousel will be giving away a $25 gift certificate to the Ribbon Carousel Store and Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker will be giving away a scrapbooking kit (winner's choice!) Enjoy the hop and be sure to leave some blog love along your way to be eligible for the prizes! Winners will be announced Saturday night at 8:00 PM EST.
Now be sure to hop along everyone's blog to see all of the wonderful inspiration!
I did another layout tonight that was just for fun. I used my Lily Bee Victoria Park collection along with some Unity Stamps to create this. I had some fun with a bit of thread and just let it fall loosely along the right side of the page then stitched it down when I stitched the letters and hexagons. I cut the hexagons with my Lifestyle Hexagon dies.
Not sure if you can see it very well, but here is the loose thread.
I will be posting a lot of stuff for sale on my sale blog. Currently I have listed several Lifestyle Crafts Dies and Spellbinders Dies. You can see them here, here, here and here
It is the final day of our TSG Release Sneak Peeks and today we are showcasing the On the Move set.
Torico has created the most adorable moving set, which we think will help to ease the pain of moving just a little! Most people do NOT like to move, and this super cute set has an image and sentiment for every occasion, whether you be the one moving, or if you are sending one to a friend or family member. With a major transition such as moving, a hand stamped greeting is JUST the thing to say goodbye, hello, or just a plain welcome to the neighborhood….and there’s a DOG!!!!
On the Move is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 22 stamps and will sell for $24.00.
Would you like to win the new On the Move stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.
You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning new stamps! The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday, August 25th with the winner being announced during the release party chat.
I have created another CAS card today, I am kind of liking these lately ;) I used my Wild Card Cricut cartridge to cut out the door, I made an opening behind it and only adhered it on one side to make it look like an open door. I have also used the No Peeking set for the 'address' and the wreath on the door. The woodgrain paper is from the Peppermint collection by Crate Paper.
I am sad to say that this will be my last post as a TSG Design Team member. My term has come to an end and I decided not to continue as I just had too much on my plate in the previous months. I love being on the TSG team, such a great group of donkeys I mean girls and I love the stamps. I won't be far though I will continue to play along when I can!
Play along with the On the Move Blog Hop Challenge for your chance to win this stamp set! Head to the TSG Blog for more details!!
