Layered Squares to create a grid design layout

I still have to do my last few weeks of my Project Life but when I saw the sketch at Creative Scrappers today I had to use it.  I love the grid design and knew it would work perfect for this photo.   I used my Christmas Cheer collection by Lily Bee along with a Technique Tuesday stamp and some twine.  When I created this layout I had a lot of  negative bits left and I used some of them on this layout, love how they add a bit of extra dimension in the layers.



I love layering the negative bits on my projects.

Oh golly, Laurel, this is so neat. You are so, so good at layering bits and bobs and making it look fabulous. Great picture of your girls and a wonderful tradition captured. I am partial to that butterfly ornament, lucky girl!
