Thank You Teacher

The sketch this week from Clean and Simple:

For my card I broke into some new October Afternoon Report Card Papers and incorporated the JUGS challenge - chalkboard technique.  I took it literally and made a teacher thank you (which allowed me to use my PTI stamp set that I love and don't use enough - Teacher's Apple).  It was also a good challenge as I certainly never use my chalks anymore so thank you JUGS!

Wonderful card Laurel! How did you make the apples look so dimensional? It almost looks like they were done with clay? But then, how could you stamp over them so perfectly?

Fabulous teacher card Laurel - love it! Lots of prep and clean up this time of year - we had our Christmas Open House last night and I'm still putting stuff away...oh well, it was a good time. Must get to those Christmas cards and get them in the mail....

Laurel...I LOVE your card! Great layout you chose to work with and your apples seriously look REAL. I am stunned at the look you achieved using your chalks!! That stitching and the pieces of patterned paper you added are the perfect touch! This is truly gorgeous.

I'm so glad our challenge could help to put your neglected chalks to use ;] Same thing happened in my craft room! LOL

Thank you so much for playing along with Just Us Girls this week! Be sure to stop by this Saturday for a fantastic color challenge hosted by Tracey :)
