Mine has been a little annoying and I get the odd box with the red x, but I've been able to just remove it, try again & it works.
I know a few of the blogs I follow are saying the same thing as you . . . so you definitely are not the only one! Blogger can be so frustrating at times!

I just read that someone was having issues and used photobucket...grrr...can't remember who it was..
